Listen, Brit-Brit, it happens to the best of us. When my boy was five months or so, he slid out of his carrier seat, which I had perched on the kitchen counter (I was warming his baby food at the time), and fell face down on the floor. I think I had four heart attacks and a stroke when that happened. He was bleeding from his nose, so we rushed him to the doc, me wailing in fear and guilt the whole way. He was just fine, though. I, on the other hand, beat myself up for days and days.
Thanks Ms. Lori. Sometimes you feel like the only person in the world to do such things when they happen. I feel a little better now though.
Yea, at age 4 ro 5 months Alanna fell face first onto the kitchen floor. Actually it was forehead first. The *thud* and 3 seconds of quiet before she started screaminng will live in my heart forever. I criead and screamed and rocked her, and cried. I made Jason come home and examine her. She had a puffy head for a few weeks.
