Gravatar It's okay. I like lamb & mutton. Not a big fan of brain although it's supposed to be delicious breaded and fried. Hey, who gets the eyes? I actually know people that would fight over them. I’ll bet your party was a blast!
I once fed a kid (goat) for two weeks that was the future star of a pit barbeque. (& they really will knock you down if you turn your back on them. I know this firsthand. Apparently it looks enormously comical when seen from a safe distance.) Anyway, I do eat meat but I’m ashamed to say one look at little Shadow’s meat piled high on a platter caused a burst of tears. Couldn’t touch the stuff. I hope you didn’t name your sheep.
Did you know we had the Chinese New Year parade today? Very fun, we went and cheered every float. This year is particularly important because it is mine. That’s right we’ve finally made it back to the noble pig. I’m not going to brood any longer with pointless thoughts like, “What in the heck we they thinking? A pig? Why can’t I be a dragon or a horse?”
Instead, this year, I will be a terrific boar.

Gravatar OK!!!! That is extemely gross. Why must the children watch such a horrid thing! By the way, Adam thinks this is totally cool. Me on the other hand, not knowing the whole meaning of this, think it's horrid. Hope you enjoyed the little lamb. Little boy blue must be crying in the meadow somewhere!

Gravatar You do eat beef don't you pretty aunt cindy.

I love you.
m.

Gravatar You know, I can't remember the pretty and the mean, I meant Mean Aunt Cindy.

Gravatar the lamb was super yummy. You know how we eat ham on easter in the US? Well to muslims that is horrid. You should also consider the time of year when sacrifices are done is just as cool as Xmas for Christians. The kids get excited about this. I am sure if you looked up Eid Kabir on wikipedia it would help you understand it better, or I could just explain it for you a little in another post. So, to sum up, NOT HORRID TO MUSLIM KIDS/GROWN UPS, AT ALL. (not yelling, there is no italics over here....) ;-P

Katy- your funny.

Gravatar US Westerners like to eat and not see what they were before. I do have to agree with Aunt Cindy that this is very gross looking. But that is our culture, and I'm glad that my nephew and niece get to partake in both sides of their culture.

Gravatar I once won a calf in a drawing in 4H, I named him Happy. First I help Castrate him so he became a steer, then when it came time to butcher him, I went to camp. I never ate any Happy, and I am sure he wasn't. Remember the Chickens? and how VoVa helped us butcher them. almost like a Lamb.
