My big mistake is that I did not buy the water conditioner drops to neutralize the chemicals in tap water. Goldfish cannot live in plain tapwater without kicking the bucket. Oops, who knew?

I have a black thumb when it comes fish, so I need to look at them in the pet store and then quietly walk away before they die from being too close to me.
i read up on the fish when we got'em. I have the neutralizer, however, my initial fish were fine without the neutralizer. Joe croaked when he got into the neutralized water.
I'm not a big fan of pet fish, nor pets in general, but I do enjoy a nicely prepared blackened Swordfish from time-to-time. Cassie Momma: Scott B and Jenny let me know that you're now a woman and proud mother, so I thought I'd cyber-stalk you to say "kudos" and "hello". I hope you're well.
