Gravatar Disgusting and so very sad are such understatements.
How can people say that the VOTF is a fading or unheard crowd? Seems like they're doing all right to me.

Come Holy Spirit.

Gravatar I still think the Pope is working on a stradegy to isolate and chop off the heretical far left - the Gumbys, JUC, PAULISTS. He puts the middle into power and then after a time he builds a temporary fence at the left edge of that middle beyond which will now be called The Land of the Lost (or the JUC for short). Later, he then pulls the O'Malleys, Hummes, and Lavadas closer because he explains that a PERMANANT CATECETICAL fence is being built around THE EWTN MISSION COMPOUND and everyone needs to now get behind that fence or else they will find themselves outside looking in with Luther.

Well here is a web site that seems to have a good debate about Cardinal Hummes and I feel a bit better knowing that he was NOT the Pope's first choice. But I like his response to the Pope. He said that when the Pope speaks it is as if God Himself was asking him to serve so he could not refuse. Let's pray that he is a Peter who has fallen in the past (like many of us) and that he may be the best one.

Gravatar Priests who won't play THE GAME are marginalized, maligned, and trashed by their carrerist brothers + they are left trashed and abandonned at the road side {rendered unbelieveable by falified media-stories feed by tampered chancery files.).

These Careerist-'priests' pass by [The Truth] on their way to title-ivestures + colorful void liturgies, shaking fragrant smoke in their artificial sanctuaries BUT it doesn't cover the stench of the sins + crimes they perpetrate in the name of the church and their own advancement.

I know this to be true because I have personally suffered it and witnessed it!!

We who have been so marginalized + silenced bleed in the ditch awaiting the Samaritan's arrival. It has been a long wait + fascinating to watch + identify those who continue to pass by on their way to Plastic Church. The bleeding continues + the passers-by have been organized into a Parade by the O'Malley-Dream-Team + their well-paid PR/Legal Cathedra-thieves and advisors.

Your choice:
Reach out + staunch the blood-flow in the ditch
OR
March in the Parade-Procession of Plastic-Church.

Gravatar VG, Thank you. I have read the New Advent piece and also many of the comments. Very interesting. Cardinal Hummes has my prayers. I am thankful to God for Pope Benedict's care of His Holy Catholic Church.

One of the responses struck me as something I have heard here at home concerning which specific group is responsible for the crucifixion. I am responsible for my Savior's crucifixion, not someone or some group I can point my finger at and walk away from with my nose in the air feeling all high and mighty. If one does not have a concept of that, then other things one believes follow.

Michael Medved wrote a good column today, November 22nd. Worth finding and reading.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Gravatar Which church are you speaking about Honora?
I know Carol loves the Church . However, we are all distressed by what the local scene presents as The Church.
I like so many others (perhaps Carol too) detest the wolves masquerading as shepherds among the sheep!

Gravatar Linda, you may also have read The Wanderer article about Cardinal Lavada. Although I am confused and disappointed by his attendence at the Boisi Roundtable Meeting in Philly. And he seems to have silenced one priest that I heard about who complained about homosexual influences in a seminary (Lavada told him he already knew there was a problem but the priest was not giving him specific eyewitness testimony in his view). But the Wanderer said that Pope Benedict is using Lavada as a weapon against Relativism which the Pope declared a war upon in his pre-election (in my opinion). Lavada seems to have influenced the real Catechims positively (I read it fast so I'm not sure of that point). And we all know that Lavada was one of those who was on a committee or whatever that undid a LIBERAL movement in rewording the Mass (If I recall correctly). Anyway, their opinion was that Lavada may have a stradegy to not get involved in the small battles but to pick the strategic battles. So that may be why so many problems went unaddressed. But some things (what is posted above done by a Lavada appointee) are very troubling. I hope that the Pope has made good use of Lavada and that it was good pick. If Lavada can conquer liberal relativism that would be good. Can he administer an Archdiocese or make good appointments - maybe not. Time will show. Time will show us the wisedom of making Cardinal Sean a Cardinal and of appointing Bishop Wuerl when his flock votes 75% Kennedy Catholic in Pittsburgh in spite of his personal holiness. God help the Pope! Personally I may have appointed Wuerl and I may have appointed Fr. Pavone to the Vatican and made Fr Corapi Cardinal of Boston or LA. And I'd put Archbishop Burke in charge of dismanteling the USCCBs. But the Pope has his reasons and his ways. He may make mistakes but I pray that his good choices and his mistakes can be used by God as his tools to do His will.

Gravatar Honara,

I see a red ball on the end of your nose!

You are confusing "the church" with the men in it that cover up and in some cases foster the sexual abuse of children.

I never loved that, nor would I would pretend it was and is part of Christ's Church. In fact, I think it's fair to say - I hate it.

I think at one time, I had the misguided notion that the priests, the Bishops, the Cardinals, the Vatican sincerely would never look the other way, cover up, lie, slander, threaten, use their power - etc - when they knew children were in harms way. I and many others now know they are as unheeded as they ever were.

What this Cardinal - Bryan Hehir, Boisi,Jack Lynch, Jack Connors, Janet Eisner, the Whores of Planned Parenthood who wrote the diocescan sex ed plan - has restructured what is in our parishes in Boston to be - - it is not of Christ. It is no more Christ's Church than Paul Shanley's ministry.

You may like it, you may look the other way, you may tell yourself in the mirror that if you pick up litter and say please and thank you with a smile as all this is going on, you love Christ's Church, but we obviously differ in our opinions there. Judging from the meltdown of this diocese - I would venture to say, Christ is not in agreement with you either.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gravatar VG, I didn't read the Wanderer article about Levada, but that doesn't mean I won't.

God bless Pope Benedict XVI!

I do agree with your ideas for appointments and elevations within the Church. Fr. Corapi could do a world of good around here, as could Fr. Pavone. All things in Our Lord's time. We tend to get impatient and very very upset and I guess that will never change. Perhaps our two cents are actually part of God's plan too. We all have our uses and who we are is a gift in the mix from God.

I enjoy being vigilant for Our Lord's Church and I know I am blessed to have this faith. How awesome!

I heard Bishop Burke's comments briefly regarding the mystery of why others similarly situated seem to stray from Church teachings. He was baffled by what he witnesses and sees as heresy. Of course it is baffling how so many of our clergy follow secular society and refuse to stand apart from all that is wrong in the world. Their day will come just as our day will come when we are to give a personal account to Our Lord.

May you know His peace,

Gravatar **You are confusing "the church" with the men in it that cover up and in some cases foster the sexual abuse of children**

You mean like Bernard Cardinal Law?

The man that Carol supported to the end?

Gravatar The DA couldn't find any evidence against Law - but I suspect there's plenty against Fred Ryan, Walter Cuenin and the former head of the Boston Priest's Forum whose body lies in the grave.

Gravatar Carol,

Good for you!

If they dug into the queer priests who ran with Catholic Charities in it's hey day, they're would be plenty of evidence of pimping children and cover up there as well.

Gravatar **The DA couldn't find any evidence against Law**

Yes, and OJ Simpson is innocent too, doncha know?

THATS your defense of Cardinal Law? That "the DA didn't find any evidence"????

There are things that are considered "legal" but are still wrong....and a Cardinal should know what they are.

Using your verbiage:

**You are confusing "the church" with the men in it that cover up....the sexual abuse of children**

Are you really going to tell me that you believe that Cardinal Law was NOT one of those that "covered up" the cases of sexual abuse in the Church?

Are you really trying to convince people of that?

Gravatar We all saw the evidence against OJ Simpson - The Jury pool was from a poverty stricken, low IQ, afro american community who had seen years and years of LA police corruption and brutality against their people. They were not going to convict their foozball bro on the say so of a white detective from the LA Police.

You saying the Federal Grand Jury in Boston was corrupt? They really had evidence against Law but didn't produce an indictment?

Or are you saying Martha Coakley and Tom Reilly hid the evidence and buried their indictments.

Yeah, that's it. It all must have been in the back pocket of Greg Ford whom they left on the curb outside of their kangaroo court with reject witness stamp on their forehead.

I am not trying to convince anybody of anything. There are so many liars and crooks on the playing field that I'm saying that the truth will have be adjudicated in Christ's Court. Because there was certainly no evidence produced on this earth. Bob Bullock was far more likely to have known than Law. Whatever they knew and whatever any of them did - is beyond the turds I can scrape off the spin.

What I do know, priests and laity alike - Cardinals and Bishops - and parents and lawyers - all take a piece of the guilt pie.

Peace their Lincoln!

Gravatar An estimated 30 percent of all men are unable to control their ejaculation in most sexual encounters. This makes premature ejaculation a huge problem for many men and couples. The problem with premature ejaculation is that it spoils all the fun for both partners as nobody wants to put an end to a pleasurable activity too early. http://www.viagrathunder.com
