I'm about as orthodox Catholic as they come and its amazing how difficult it is for me to show how Ron Paul is the most in line with Catholic teachings to Americanized Catholics who don't really know what good Catholic Social teachings are... Its amazing to me how Catholics could ever consider Collectivism or Aggressive Wars to be justified. Thank you for this article...

Hello, Thanks so much for writing this article on Paul. I am a leader of the Catholic student organization at an Ivy League school and I am constantly trying to explain these principles to all my Catholic friends. They often vote for John Edwards because of his stance on the poor in this country, but I always tell them that it is not enough! We truly do not know what poverty is in this country (just take a look at the people with whom Mother Theresa worked). Besides governments the only thing that governments are naturally very good at is killing people. I say, in line with Dr. Paul, that if you really want to make a difference, demand that 35% back from the government and give it to Catholic charities yourselves. Your money will have more impact and you can be absolutely sure that you have not funded a War OF Terror.

Congradulations on an excellent article Mr. Khan. Catholics as well as Protestants should be reminded of the just war theory as well as the historical fact that the socialism the current politicians (and many Catholic Theologians) are espousing in effect stifles or destroys religion. Some examples would be Cuba, Russia, China etc. It should also be noted that capitalism for all of its evils has historically produced the most religious societies. Why does the RCC flourish in evil capitalistic America? What happened to Catholic France?
