Gravatar Ron Paul won the debate yesterday. The other opponents sound like "Company Men". Ron Paul's superior intellect and grasp on real issues is what will win him the Presidency. He needs to be more forceful. I will vote Ron Paul

Gravatar You are correct! This is good stuff. I hope the RP campaign reads it. Me and my husband proudly cheered him on in our living room last night. You would have thought we were watching a football game.

He has the ideas - he just needs to work on selling in to the average American who doesn't really know much about polictics. Ma and Pa talk is right.

Gravatar Fox News seemed quite upset by Ron Paul's great success. If Ron Paul could get more Media attention, I truly believe he can win. I lost hope a long time ago, and he has given me a glimmer of hope, He reminds me of The Frank Capra Film Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. Every American should vote for him he is our only hope in salvaging our country. You are so right! I was really inspired!!!

Gravatar Well, I think Ron Paul certainly won the debate, and I think he did it with his answer to the question about his electability. He clearly outlined the contradictions in our foreign policy by subsidizing a military dictatorship, while at the same time fighting for "democracy" in Iraq.

Gravatar Seeing the graphic at the top of the article reminded me, we need to engage the services of a sympathetic and talented cartoonist to lampoon the other candidates, MSM and other hostile influences as the primaries unfold. They have all indicated their intention to play dirty, and this might be an effective response.

Gravatar mikef, how about a cartoon with this as the caption: "Google coulrophobia and find out why I dread Rudy McRomneybee"

Gravatar As a big Ron Paul supporter, I must agree with this article. Dr. Paul has great ideas, but needs to "connect" on a much more personal level. We will never win the battle of ideas, until we "market" and "package" the ideas in ways that Joe Sixpack and Judy Soccermom can relate to. People vote in every election with their WALLETS first. They always have and always will. The other GOP candidates laud "lower taxes." Dr. Paul needs to point out that all of them are hypocrites - because the INFLATION TAX is the biggest of all. He needs to point out to the American people that they cannot trust government figures of 2% inflation - when gas is over $3 a gallon, milk has gone up 40% in one year, bread is up over 25% in one year. One more thing: For ideas that cannot be explained in 15 second sound bites - he needs to encourage people to GOOGLE whatever the issue is. As an example: If he pounds the INFLATION IS A TAX theme. He needs to remind Americans (not the moderators) to GOOGLE "Inflation is a tax". The Internet is his best friend and resource. He needs to speak OVER the MSM and to the American people and encourage us to GOOGLE and learn - and not take what the MSM says at face value.

Gravatar He also scores points when he brings up the fact that inflation is a hidden tax on the poor and middle class. That is understandable and something none of the other candidates want to discuss. Inflation is going to become a big issue.I don't think there is much he can do to change his voice and I'm not so sure he should. I have noticed it's mainly older voters I know (over 65) who pay attention to hairdo's and broad shoulders. Younger voters seem to be looking for "different".He tries to talk fast because he gets so little time.

Gravatar we need to e-mail this article to Ron Paul his web site asked for suggestions this week. so I AM GOING TO CUT AND PASTE TEN OR TWENTY TIMES AND SEND JUST AS MANY E-MAILS.

Gravatar almost forgot, make sure the email in the above mentioned comment for RP is headed
catholics for RP.

Gravatar Andrew, maybe you could avoid spamming RP's staff? Just a suggestion.

Gravatar Some comments from a libertarian living in the Dutch social welfare state

First of all RP and his campaign staff and supporters did a great job to get as far as they did. The momentum is there, but how to proceed to do what everybody thinks is impossible?

I think the problem that although everything RP says about the FED, Iraq etc is correct, the message has to be packed in such a way that it attracts a general population. That's why I think the focus should be much more on personal freedom and personal liberty. The central message: The US government should not tell their people how they should live their lives (lifestyle, religion etc)

In addition about the RP revolution slogan, I don't think the word revolution appeals much to Christians as it contains the word 'evolution'.
So I would propose a new slogan: Ron Paul ... And Liberty for All

I hope this can be of help to the campaign.

Gravatar Forget that Dr. Paul is the ONLY qualified candidate. Unless the Paul campaign demands (and gets) ballot counts in EVERY state, his intellectual superiority is meaningless. There already appears to be "irregularities" with the vote count.

Gravatar As someone who favors constitutional government, I found that this post made a lot of sense about how Ron should position himself
http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2...ly-newsletters/

Gravatar I am a former McCain supporter after this debate. Ron Paul has got the best analysis on the economy and I'm coming around to his views on the war. I don't feel any safer after this Iraq war and I'm tired of the McCain / Guiliani giggle-track through the debate. Let's face it, McCain is an insider and Guiliani has no experience - only wants to get his finger on the button. Go Ron!!!!

Gravatar If something like the speedboat issue comes up again RP needs to make the point that no american property or american private citizens were in danger and that these are the proper functions of state power to protect real american property and american citizens. Also in a RP administration, a commander would be protecting american waters and would not be put in the difficult situation these commanders are in. Also could economic discussions include framing the argument of a separation of state and market, just as there is with church and state for the protection of state. We don't want the state telling our priest what he can preach about, we don't want the state telling us how much we have to pay for money!
That kind of argument. We need to guard against looking like we'll happy that Austrian theory is being proved and so empathy for those harmed by our ruinous policy.

Gravatar Er, I meant to say separation of church and state to protect the church. Darn dumb fingers! Can you fix that?

Gravatar Ron Paul is generally included in presidential debates... he was in the last Fox Debate even though his numbers are in single digits. That doesn't happen to many other candidates that I can think of, so I wouldn't call it discrimination. Fox lets candidates of both parties with low poll numbers in their debates to bring in a more comprehensive discussion.

No doubt Ron Paul is excellent on the abortion issue, and he's right on some others, but he would make a horrible Commander in Chief. His facts are completely wrong about Iraq and Afghanistan. My husband is active duty and we've been a military family for almost 15 years. He's going back to Baghdad in Feb. and currently works under GEN Caldwell... previously GEN Petraeus. So it's easy for the both of us to pick up on Paul's reckless errors when discussing the situtation in Iraq.

His grasp of the current engagements are so limited that he's spooked by the arming of former Sunni insurgents and cannot comprehend counterinsurgency. To him it appears we're collaborating with the bad guys when in actually we've converted them and they bear a great responsibility in helping with the stability in Iraq over the last 6 months. GEN Petraeus has laboriously described the difference between "reconcilables and irreconcilables" and apparently Ron Paul is such a believer in the U.S. staying out of "other people's business" than he has neglected to listen to a few of Petraeus' briefings. There's no way I could vote for him if I'm only an Army wife and Federal Contractor and I know more about the war than he does.

In terms of Christianity, his foreign policy positions are not very Christian. The parable of the Good Samaritan as well as Matthew 25 don't seem to be words of Christ he takes into account, or at least he isolates certain principles from his foreign policy that end up contradicting Christ's directives.

The reason the U.S. is easily criticized on the world stage is because we do the dirty work no one else will. In Aghanistan, in order to secure the country for Aghans, we have to send in more Marines because NATO refuses to get involved. The same is true of most other countries in the world. I recall Christ being maligned and slandered for doing the same thing on a spiritual/religious level.

Neglecting the rest of humanity and hiding behind our own borders in wealth and prosperity with a "too bad for you" attitude" isn't compatible with Christianity.

Gravatar Perfect analysis! I hope that Ron Paul reads this and makes the changes. The American people must feel like he really cares about them. He must be seen as fighting for Americans, not just fighting for ideas. Excellent!

Gravatar To Amy Proctor:

I respect you families sacrafices. I really do. But spreading "democracy" through the barrel of a gun, while bankrupting our Republic and destroying our liberties at home, is most certainly not compatible with Christianity. We should lead through example by protecting personal and economic freedom here and not through sacrafices in blood and dollars in pre-emptive undeclared police actions that do not have anything to do with true national defense while leaving our boarders unguarded.

Gravatar To Amy Proctor:

Your post has mean imagining Jesus Christ sitting in on the next Council of Foreign Relations meeting. Have you ever even heard of the doctrine of Just War?

Gravatar All really good, solid advice.

But pointless, because when it comes to the Ron Paul Campaign Staff... sadly no one is "home".

They are clueless, have no strategy or savvy, and are resting on and hoping that the "grassroots" will deliver votes in the same way that they delivered money.

Unfortunately (as Iowa and NH proved) this will not actually happen. (In part because the campaign is ever-so-slightly involved and ballocksing it up.)

Everything tells me that the $20M will be wasted in some foolish and grand scheme that will be a disasterous failure.

Sad, but true.

Gravatar re:Amy

As a veteran of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, I understand where you are coming from; I fashioned myself as some sort of pro-current-war libertarian while I served and shortly after I received my (long-awaited) honorable discharge from the Army. That being said, it is not an attack on the individual soldier to say that the war is a bad idea, nor does it diminish the personal sacrifices we all have made in support of it. The problem is that, sometimes when we want to start going in the right direction, we need to turn around and backtrack.

I would also ask, as Mike did above me, if you have ever heard of Christian Just War theory, and if you have, how much you or your husband have studied it. And as for Biblical wisdom regarding government and it's issues, skim through your NT, and every time you see a government official mentioned (Pilate and the others) or government in general ('principalities,' etc), replace the name with your favorite politician and the phrase with 'USA.' That might open your eyes significantly, as it did mine.

Gravatar I have been waiting for the Ron Paul campaign to "take the gloves off" for a while. Clearly Ron has a superior understanding of the issues than the other candidates. They need to hire a marketing firm or someone to better package the campaign. The above ideas are generally good.

To Amy Proctor:

Ron Paul would make an excellent commander-in-chief because he would not enter into unnecessary wars. What better attribute in a commander-in-chief than one that would not expose his troops to unnecessary risk of death and injury? I'm a catholic and I remember vividly Pope John Paul sending a delegation to Bush to voice the churches opposition to the war...it appears the Pope was correct. Secondly, we don't have the resources to be the policeman of the world...this is the most unchristian part about it. While people are losing their homes and wealth hear at home we are spending trillions of dollars abroad. Maybe once everyone in the U.S. has been taken care then we can worry about the rest of the world.

Gravatar I suppose the most important reason Im supporting Ron Paul is the reality of things at home. Not abroad.

Our dollar is in shambles, China owns us financially. Our rights have been stolen by a behemoth government.

I look at a 3 year old everyday. I remember the America I was told I lived in at her age. My dad was career Army, mother served in the AF. America is on a collision course with disaster.

What happens if a depression happens and we have no rights? What happens when the people take to the streets and protest the government.. and get arrested for being terrorists?

Its not happening right now of course. Take a good look at what is happening in America and ask yourself what is going to happen with 4 more years on this path.

If we do not have Liberty, what have we become? Certainly not America.

We have a chance to change the course of this nation. No other candidate is going to change anything. They will only mismanage and mismanaged train wreck. Not one is addressing our financial problems with a solid understanding of economics. Not one understands our liberty is the most important quality to defend.

Im voting for Ron Paul because its the first time in my life that a politician makes sense. The rest pay lip service to our Constitution and take our rights away.

Gravatar I completely agree with Andrew above. The campaign asked for ideas, and there are some very valid points here. To the writer of the entry, please contact your local campaign representative, and get these thoughts moving up the chain.

Writing all our brilliant grassroots ideas is no longer enough...we need to make the official campaign follow-through, in a true bottom-up fashion.

Gravatar I really enjoyed the article and do hope that HQ takes your recommendations to heart. Sounds great to me.
^^

Gravatar I definitely believe Ron Paul is the right candidate. He is correct that we are going to be broken if we continue on this financial folly of policing the world. America can't afford it. Both Parties are the same. This country is in trouble and will sink deeper and deeper. This War has lost us many "real" allies, I know that many people serving in Iraq are not happy with the current situation, for instance the ani-christian sentiment is a good example.
When Ron Paul stated that we arm both sides he was correct, that is a fact, yesterdays friends are today's boggie men. Divide & Conquor. Pope John Paul & The present Pope Benedict XVI were against the invasion of Iraq and took quite a media beating for it. Ron Paul is the only candidate not playing the "company" card.

Gravatar Re: Amy

Open your eyes. There is nothing Christian about this war or any other. Even the so-called "Christian Just War Theory," which others have pointed out, has NOTHING TO DO WITH CHRIST or His teachings. He might as well never have existed.

You must not be fooled by labels. Being a Christian means putting on the mind of Christ. It does not mean calling yourself by the label "Christian" and engaging in groupthink with others who adopt that label while ignoring its meaning.

In the early Church -- that closest to Christ Himself -- it was forbidden for a would-be Christian to join the military. If he was already in the military, he had to promise never to kill. Those early Christians were viciously persecuted (hint: it was worse than not being allowed to put a Christmas tree in a public school), yet they never took up arms against their oppressors.

Then the name of Christ, the Prince of Peace, was co-opted by the Roman Emperor Constantine for political reasons. And now we have nominal Christians who worship the state above God and who wear the Crucifix while machine-gunning other human beings.

When Huckabee says the Iranians would see "the gates of Hell" if killed by the US military, the implication is that an enemy of the American state is an enemy of God. In other words, the state IS God or, at the very least, God is on its side.

But this is nonsense! The Iranians are children of God. So are the Iraqis.

How many innocent Iraqis have died at the hands of the US military? Even the Iraqi military under Saddam Hussein was mostly conscripts -- fathers, sons and brothers forced to fight or be executed -- and Americans, nominally Christian, killed them as if they were the enemy. The enemy of whom? Not God. George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and their pals are not God.

Wake up, Amy. I hope and pray you and the others will wake up.

Gravatar Amy,

There is this little Asian country that we have established normal trade relations with. Their leaders were just here recently to reinforce our friendship and business. Through trade and friendship we are having a positive impact on their country. That Asian country is Vietnam! In 1968 we were bringing 80 of our boys every day in body bags. What did it get us or them? Guns and bullets did nothing for us. Please don't misunderstand; I have worked for our Military since 1957 and have the utmost respect for our guys and girls. But Dr. Paul is absolutely correct in his foreign policy. The Muslim is dedicated to conquering the world for Islam. The germ is the Koran. But I promise you that if they raised an Army and Navy and hit the beaches at Jacksonville Fl, they would get a warm reception from a President Ron Paul! They would also find out what a redneck with a 30:06 is all about.

Gravatar I just wrote a letter to the editor. I ended with "the price of gasoline" in attempt to make the message relative to Judy Soccermom. Ron needs to do the same. He needs to hit hard.

No more "4000 babies, flight surgeon". Instead: Ron Paul is the only candidate who will bring home all the troops from everywhere and save each American family $10,000 a year.

Gravatar Amen - Walter, Amen The current pope said on Feb. 14th of last year that the center of the new Christian revolution must be a stance of non-violence. And in my view that is the only way to defeat radical Islam, is with the Love of Christ, no the sword. If we want to see a PERFECT example of social justice we only have to look to the passion of our saviour. Benedict has also said that it is time for Catholics to re-think Just War Theory and that it may the case that Just War is no longer possible in our modern times. Remember that this theory was created by St. Augustine in a time when war was waged on a battlefield with sword and arrows. Our country should act more Christ like, which I think is to lead by EXAMPLE, by our love they will know who we are, and maybe that will be more inspiring to the people across the world, then putting a gun in their face. Maybe

Gravatar "But I promise you that if they raised an Army and Navy and hit the beaches at Jacksonville Fl, they would get a warm reception from a President Ron Paul!"

This gets right to the heart of the issue. There are Muslims that want to subjucate the world for Islam. So what, they do not and never will have the ability to do it. The Third Reich could not even cross the English Channel in WW2 and invade England and Germany was a major industrial country. I am supposed to believe that the "Islamofacists" whatever that means, are going to come here and make me convert to Islam by the sword. They have no Navy, no Army, no industry, and no way to project power in any kind of numbers. This is so embarrassingly stupid I cant believe it has to be discussed. When I look at this war or any government action I always keep in mind the latin phrase "Que Bono" who benefits. Dr. Paul is right in that there is a huge military-industrial complex that feeds off of this hysteria. This Amy above who gets free housing and medical care through her marriage to a military man is a common example. She actually believes her and her family are doing the Lords work. Oy Vay! There are retired Generals and Admirals serving as corporate officers with defense contractors. Some of whom retired from the military on Friday and started work the following Monday as a consultant on the same contracts they oversaw while on active duty. There are lobbyists, politicians, and all kinds of parasites feeding off the irrational fear of the boogeyman in the closet. If one actually lived in reality they would ask why if we are in a "war of survival" with Islamofacists is the southern border wide open? If you are so scared of being invaded why havent we deported all men 18-45 from islamic countries that are non-citizens? The answer is because there is no threat of the Islamofacists invading the US and the government knows this yet needs a monster in the woods (now that the Soviet Union is dissolved and until they can gin up China as the new bad guy) to keep everybody fearful in order to keep the money flowing to government coffers so it may doled out to cronies in the Military-Industrial complex. Ask your self what you are getting out of this "Forever War" as inflation eats away your savings, as your bridges fall down (Minneapolis), as your freedoms are wittled away (Real ID Card). Ask your elected officals when will we win. Evidently Mr. McCain seems to think we will stay in Iraq for 100 years if necessary. It is sad that so many can be easily manipulated with propoganda and lies wrapped in a flag and singing Jesus.

Gravatar i think there a lot of good ideas written here.especially the one to hire a writer to polish them up.
i'll submit one myself. play up the fact that ron paul is getting more contributions from servicemen than any other candidate and if they know numbers to illustrate.(ie.3x mccain,5x huckabee, etc.this will mute the refrain "unpatriotic","not supporting the troops"and comments from wives and family of servicemen.

Gravatar All this lofty theory is USELESS.
Question: who's counting the votes?

Gravatar To Amy...

Wars are started by men who only want to sell the government arms and by the bankers who want to loan the government money to pay for these arms.

If every citizen of every nation was asked to prepay for armaments before entering a war, there would be no wars.

Only with the ability to borrow money from a central bank who can then juice the economy with printed money do wars get financed.

Gravatar To Amy:

you are missing Ron Paul's point.

Hi spoint is that _everytime_ the USA has "identified" who the good guys are, or "converted" some group and armed them, _everytime_, they eventually turn around and attack the US. It happened in Afghanistan . Remember the good freedom fighter mujahideen armed by the USA, against the russians ? They were led by Osama Bin Laden. Same thing with Saddam. Same thing with Noriega. and againa and again.

Ron Paul will stop that insanity

Gravatar 3 things Paul has to do:

1) Start acting like he is on the inside track at debates, rather than as an angry outsider. When asked about whether he can be nominee, tell reporter (in so many words) that all the other Bush clones are unelectable. Only he offers a satisfactory alternative to the program which has earned Bush such low ratings.

2) Same advice when interviewers ask him about running as a 3rd party candidate. In so many words, tell them "No, I plan to be the Republican nominee, my campaign is generating a lot of enthusiasm and support, and I just need to continue to spread my message."

3) Do not tolerate it when other candidates poke fun at you. The McCain exchange in S.C. was a good moment indeed, but Paul needs to say things like "Some of the candidates are laughing while I am talking about X, but X is no laughing matter, and the American people deserve a candidate who takes X seriously.

Gravatar Amy,

Did you listen to the debate? Did you listen to Ron Paul's answer to the question? These "converts" as you call them are Sadaam's old henchmen. They've "converted" because we are there and they have no choice.

We gave aid and support to Sadaam himself at one time. We also supported Osama and his "freedom fighters" in keeping Russia out of Afghanistan, and look where that got us. If we continue to support small islamic factions, arming them and giving them money, who's to say they won't eventually turn on us like Osama... and Sadaam.

Our constant meddling in the Mid East has done nothing but alienate us from the rest of the world, and has created enemies out of people who were once our allies.

We have to STOP meddling in the affairs of other countries. They're are people being oppressed and killed all over the world and we don't get involved. Only in the Mid East, supposedly to protect "our oil". Like Ron Paul said, "When did it become our oil?"

Ron Paul is right. They don't hate us because we are free and prosperous. They hate us because we build bases on their holy land, we give money to both sides, and we bomb their countries, killing innocent civilians, if we don't like their policy choices.

What if someone did that to us? I think they would if they could. Our policy choices aren't that great either.

Gravatar The bottom line is that Paul needs to approach the debates and the media from a position of STRENGTH. HE has the right ideas, the right track record, and the interests of the citizen at heart. The others have policies and a worldview that produce failure and chaos; they are doomed and are the ones who should be on the defensive, not Paul.

Gravatar Excellent points. I wonder if he already knows this, based on his temperament this debate. I got chills when I heard his answer about "elect-ability." I've thought all along that he needed to attack the other candidates more, not just respond to their attacks. For all the hoopla about negative campaigning, it does work--and people need to know what the other candidates are really about.

Gravatar Few Americans understand that all government action is inherently coercive. If nothing else, government action requires taxes. If taxes were freely paid, they wouldn't be called taxes, they'd be called donations. If we intend to use the word freedom in an honest way, we should have the simple integrity to give it real meaning: Freedom is living without government coercion. So when a politician talks about freedom for this group or that, ask yourself whether he is advocating more government action or less.

by Ron Paul, Dr. February 7, 2005

“…man is not free unless government is limited. There's a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

We ’ve all heard the words democracy and freedom used countless times, especially in the context of our invasion of Iraq. They are used interchangeably in modern political discourse, yet their true meanings are very different.

George Orwell wrote about “meaningless words” that are endlessly repeated in the political arena*. Words like “freedom,” “democracy,” and “justice,” Orwell explained, have been abused so long that their original meanings have been eviscerated. In Orwell’s view, political words were “Often used in a consciously dishonest way.” Without precise meanings behind words, politicians and elites can obscure reality and condition people to reflexively associate certain words with positive or negative perceptions. In other words, unpleasant facts can be hidden behind purposely meaningless language. As a result, Americans have been conditioned to accept the word “democracy” as a synonym for freedom, and thus to believe that democracy is unquestionably good.

The problem is that democracy is not freedom. Democracy is simply majoritarianism, which is inherently incompatible with real freedom. Our founding fathers clearly understood this, as evidenced not only by our republican constitutional system, but also by their writings in the Federalist Papers and elsewhere. James Madison cautioned that under a democratic government, “There is nothing to check the inducement to sacrifice the weaker party or the obnoxious individual.” John Adams argued that democracies merely grant revocable rights to citizens depending on the whims of the masses, while a republic exists to secure and protect pre-existing rights. Yet how many Americans know that the word “democracy” is found neither in the Constitution nor the Declaration of Independence, our very founding documents?

Gravatar There are many great ideas here that would really help streamline Dr. Paul's message. Since he has asked us for ideas, I would like to add a few things that, IMHO, he should stress whenever he has the chance. Dr. Paul is talking way over most people's heads, especially on economics. This includes the other candidates, the "moderators" and average (dumbed down...sorry, but it's true) Americans. If he could simplify it, many more people would understand how they would benefit, and they would jump on board! Let's face it, no one who understands what Dr. Paul wants to do would ever vote for any other candidate, so the key is to get the average person to understand at least the basics, and remember them. Repeat the basics so they become ingrained in people's minds: Liberty, Peace, Prosperity. This should be the core of the message. Here are what I believe to be the critical issues:

#1 He intends to restore our Constitution and our civil/personal liberties, and bring the federal government into strict compliance with the Constitution. He should explain that the Constitution was designed to restrain the power of the federal government over the states, and over us as individuals. The federal government should do only what it is specifically authorized to do in the Constitution.

#2 He should stress that he would end the wars and bring the troops home from all over the world, so they could actually DEFEND our country instead of OFFENDING other countries. This would make us much safer, no one would dare to touch us, and with the trillion or so dollars a year we would save, he would strengthen Social Security and Medicare. I know he does not personally approve of some of these government programs, but there are many millions of people who have been paying into these things for their entire lives, and they need to be assured that they will receive the benefits they have been promised. For many of them, their lives literally depend on it. Perhaps he could even talk about increasing the Social Security benefits, since the dollar is worth so much less now than the dollars they paid into it, and the payments have not even come close to keeping up with inflation. This would bring most of the older voters into our camp. Surely with all the money saved from the military misadventures, we could care for our own people with dignity.

#3 He should always find a way to inform his audiences that he wishes to eliminate the IRS and the unconstitutional income tax, and NOT replace it with anything!

#4 If he dares, he should perhaps try to inform people that the Federal Reserve is NOT part of the government, that it is a privately-owned, for-profit, central bank, that is essentially unconstitutional. The Constitution gives Congress the power to coin money and regulate the value thereof. The owners of the Federal Reserve basically usurped that power, with the help of some well-placed insiders, from Congress in 1913. Since then,

Gravatar My message got cut off, so here's the rest, with a short overlap:

#4 If he dares, he should perhaps try to inform people that the Federal Reserve is NOT part of the government, that it is a privately-owned, for-profit, central bank, that is essentially unconstitutional. The Constitution gives Congress the power to coin money and regulate the value thereof, in which case no interest would be involved. It would be a debt free currency. The owners of the Federal Reserve basically usurped that power, with the help of some well-placed insiders, from Congress in 1913. Since then, the dollar has declined in value by 96%, and the Fed has basically controlled everything, including when we have recessions and depressions (and wars, but we don't want to get to complicated...) The owners of the Fed actually benefit from these economic downturns, by buying up real assets that people are forced to sell for pennies on the dollar. He could explain that the government actually has to BORROW the money it requires to operate from the Federal Reserve, and pay INTEREST on it!! It is my understanding that the vast majority of the income tax collected goes to pay just the interest on the debt to the Fed, so if you get rid of the Fed, you can eliminate the income tax!

#4 He could explain that the "powers that be" are secretly planning for the North American Union, where Mexico, the US and Canada would be joined together as basically one country, with open borders, and a massive superhighway running from Mexico all the way to Canada, right through the heartland of America. Talk about an amnesty plan! He is obviously opposed to all of this, and I think the vast majority of Americans would be as well. He could say that they've already got a new currency ready called the "amero" to replace the currencies of the 3 countries. And he could mention that the North American Union, like the European Union, is a stepping stone on the way to Global government, which GHWB (BTW, for the last 30 or so years, I have dubbed him "The Evil One"...I had no idea how right I was until recently!) referred to, many times publicly, in his speeches, as the New World Order. If people do not believe this, they can Google it and get massive amounts of information on what the elites of the world have planned for the rest of us. Of course, if the NAU becomes a reality, we will lose our Constitution, which is essential to our personal liberty, and our sovereignty as a nation. Every American should vehemently oppose this plan. Dr. Paul would stop it in its tracks.

That's it for now! Hopefully some of it makes sense and will be useful, and hopefully Dr. Paul will get a chance to read all of the great ideas presented here.

Gravatar John McCain was racist in the SC debate, read it here:
John McCain's racism in SC debate
Unfortunately it took segregationist Governor Wallace to reveal the truth that "there's not a dime's worth of difference between" Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas Corpus, detaining protesters, banning books like America Deceived (book) from Amazon, stealing private lands (Kelo decision), warrant-less wiretapping and refusing to investigate 9/11 properly. They are both guilty of treason.
Support Dr. Ron Paul and save this great nation.

Gravatar Typical libertarianism: tons of theory, rhetoric, but totally useless as long as the vote count is being manipulated.

Gravatar Maybe he can read quotes from his newsletters and credit the author, Lew Rockwell.

Gravatar There are many great ideas being posted here, and I do agree that a good writer could organize them in a manner that would clarify, Dr. Paul's positions which seem to cover a much broader base then the other candidates. Firstly, lets all remember that Ron Paul did win the debates against a biased media and party, not to leave out, Fox News was hurting the very next day. Also in the short amount of time he was given, he was able to communiacte the real issues facing "OUR" country, the economy, the war, the undermining of our rights, our disatrous foreign policies and their effect on America.
All the other candidates talked too much about other people's problems, other countries, other leaders, think about it, and barely discussed our problems in a coherant manner. Hucklebee's defense of Israel was hilarious, quite frankly I just can not fathom President Huklebee or Hucklebee for Israel. McCain sounded like a war mongrel and did much to confirm Dr. Paul's fear with regard to our military being all over the world except here. Romney is a jerk his catty remark to Ron Paul only hurt him as demonstrated by the audiences boo's. Lets not forget that Americans were given much information by these comical bufoonish candidates of how much money is being doled out to these"terrorist" regimes. The average person wants to hear about America, and American issues. Ron Paul was able in a nutshell to demonstrate the lack of interest the other candidates have in Americans or in America. This country has become a giant cash register to fund their extremely dubious criminal activities and self serving purposes.

Gravatar Hello. I want to put an advertisement in a Catholic Newspaper called the Tablet that reaches Catholics in Brooklyn and Queens, two huge cities with millions of potential viewers.

http://www.thetablet.org/index2.html

Here is the link. What can I do about getting some help to print an ad? Does anyone have an advertisement already made? I'd lke to include the letter Ron Paul wrote about JPII.

Thanks

Gravatar I think that is a great idea, to show that Ron Paul's views are more in line with Pope John Paul II. This would demonstrate to Catholics, that he is the only possible candidate. I heard on EWTN that the mid-western Catholics could deside the vote. EWTN should metion Ron Paul more. I get the feeling that they are Pro- Iraq War. I would focus an add which emphasized his "Real" Pro-Life Stance.

Gravatar In The Readers forum in the tablet there is an article about the war, and also abortion and other issues. I urge Catholics as I will do to read the forum, and write a letter. Email ewilkinson@thetablet.org the letters addressed to the editor should include name address and phone#.

Gravatar Yes.As I say...Ron has to push his big expertise..the medical field..'the cure for this is not.....but...etc!..He must look more angry and indignant..not so sheepish..He must hit nafta and the rotten sewage treated food and lead based painted toys that the peoples republic of china (sic) sends to us..plus the millions of jobs lost to nafta ..the non-tariffs etc!He must use the term 'no-win war" more often...as was Korea,Nam and now this tragedy...Ron should demand why the mexican government is not forced to man the borders with their own troops for if they dont...stop all recognition of mexico and treat it as a hostile nation..(hey I can dream cant I ) get the UN out of the US and the US out of the UN!!!!!!put the damn thing on an island...eliminate all posts that are not mandated in the US Constitution..re: dept of education, art and humanities etc!!!!as far as being hoaxed by double agents this will happen..I ,when teaching, had to stop picketing in anti-abortion affairs for double agents were infiltrating our ranks and causing scenes that were outrageous just to redicule us..and Ron must mention Teddy Roosevelt more..remember TR stopped the Russo-Jap war, balanced the budget, ordered all immigrants to learn english and become Americans all the way..and how come Ron has never mentioned this famous quote by TR..etc etc....wheres my pitchfork as Pat B ordered a few years back....
