I am a supporter of Paul and appreciate this forum as a means to draw catholic awareness to his platform. I would caution, however, against an oversimplified comparison of his platform with the papacy of Benedict XVI. Highlighting particular similarities is helpful but in making the comparison one should not neglect the crucial differences that exist between the pope, who leads the Body of Christ towards the perfected Kingdom of God and a presidential candidate who, at best, can only offer the best solution in a fallen world.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that there is a connection between the gold standard and Latin Mass. Silver was being somewhat discontinued in the coined currency in 1964 and eliminated altogether in 1970. The words "Novus Ordo" actually appear on the new US dollar bills. And Greenspan, once an ultra advocate of the gold standard, became head of the very system which undermined gold altogether. Only Ron Paul has the gall to advocate the abolishment of the Federal Reserve System, which lies with inflation figures and steals from savers in order to promote its own backers in government and major corporations. Go get em, Paul!

Thank you for your kind comment Lee.
With your surname you are definitely of Latino origen.
Don't fight it. Spain and spaniards are not nor were not
bad people. I am married to one and a proud "American"
as you say, but one thing has nothing to do with another.
Latinos since the Romans have always been the driving
force behind Western Civilization. Good or bad Spanish
Priests colonized the known world and too faith with them.
Be it faith in God or faith in Peace, Liberty and Justice for all
and that is what we all desire.
It doesn't matter if we call it Peace or Paz it means the same thing.
Pax Vobis (Latin)

That historical truth I am in agreement with. In fact the New Mexicans, referred to as the “Manitos”, (the brothers) or those who colonized New Mexico, contributed to the Revolutionary cause of the Colonists in New England. According to a Catholic priest friend of the family, he said that 90% of the Spanish families contributed to the cause of the mostly English colonists fighting against the British Crown. Freedom is a common denominator of all men who seek to be free of oppression, whether it is of the English variety of the George of 231 years ago, or the George of today!
Buena suerte (good luck) in your endeavors in awakening the hearts of the descendants who contributed to the cause of liberty over two centuries ago. May you reignite that spark of freedom that is in the hearts of all Americans, especially those of Spanish descent!
