Its this nonsense of the press and media making a mockery out of the Presidency that has also brought this country down.
People in this country need to have a common respect for the office of the President.
Democrates all talk about "Change" and such, but they don't actually have a concrete, written plan - Ron Paul does, no double-speak, no Washington white-wash politics, pure, true words and a plan.
Everything these idiots mock Ron Paul, donate more - I'm hearing and see more and more of Ron Paul everyday, we need to support more radio, billboard, tv ads, bumper stickers, everything --- get people to see who the one and only candidate is - Ron Paul.
Donate till it hurts!

Great piece! Ron Paul is a real hero.
Being a Huckabee fan, too, I am proud to say that Huckabee, unlike Romney, McCain, Thompson and Guiliani, never rolls his eyes or smirks when Ron Paul speaks during the debates. He always looks serious and respectful.
How I wish these two great men could lead our country out of its current crisis together!

I just wanted to make it clear that Colbert does satirical comedy - although it appears that he is like the other guys and is making fun of our boy - he's really saying that he's right and makes the most sense. It just seemed that one of the bloggers above may have misunderstood that so I wanted to through that out there...

Of course, of course. It's nice to see Colbert making a little sense. Now the question on my mind is...
Mitt Romney. Presidential candidate, or time-traveling android?

The Romneybot looks like what our future robot overlords imagine we humans want in a president after researching hours of "The West Wing."

Steve Colbert has made a mockery of Ron Paul in this clip. I am ashamed to know he is a Catholic.
The media and anyone not aware of Ron Pauls wisdom and sincere interest in returning this country to the tenets of the forefathers easily see this and take it out of context. Also by Steve calling him an idiot leads the sheep of the world to believe that and not do their own research.
Everyone for Ron Paul needs to protest to the Colbert Report and maybe he might wise up.
Ron Paul's campaign is not a joke he is the only SANE on out of all the candidates....both parties.

I think Colbert is actually expressing some degree of agreeing with Ron Paul here. The "old footage" of Ron Paul has him saying things that were true, but that people didn't consider or even believe at the times when they were figured out. Besides, Colbert is in character here, so you can't take him seriously. I wouldn't be "ashamed" that he's Catholic just because of this.
