wonder wheather streetgang will be posting more when school lets out...?

Has anyone noticed that the quality of streetgang's post are in a terrible decline? He barely posts anything of merit, and what he does post is sophomoric cracks. We don't even get his softball rambles anymore. What a has been. There are even rumors he might retire the streetgang internet handle and reinvent his blogging persona Achtung Baby style.

Streetgang isn't an actual person (he's just an online persona created by TAD), so it will be impossible for him to show up. Hence, a storyline that relocates him to Alaska for that time period has been created.

foolios...that cracked me up....i would come up except that date is terrible for me, as this foolio will be laying on a beach of the arctic ocean. in fact, i damn well might mate with a walrus.

if you come up to do the full i'll consider doing the half. the ironman races are between 8 hours (pros) to 17 hours (that's the cutoff). i'd expect to come in around 13 hours. the race is july 20, a sunday. you two foolios should come up for it since shauna and dom will be here. good way for everyone to get together.

when is the tri your running Chris?

Yeah, I'll go on a long run and see how it goes. Are you thinking of running the half marathon?

How long are the events in the ironman race?

nah gonna skip the marathon since it's a month before ironman -- but would consider doing the half. i definitely think you're in shape. just start adding some long runs on sundays and you're set. you could probably get by without them too since you've been runnnig so consistently for so long.

Chris, are you running in Lake Placid next month? I'm thinking about running, even though I haven't really been training for it. Still, I've been running 5-8 miles a day (5 days a week), so I'm not too far off.

The biggest argument against it is that I've gained 10-15 lbs since last summer. But if I increase my mileage in the next few weeks and diet a bit, I can probably lose at least 5 lbs of that.

Do you think I could run a full marathon in my current shape? I know I'd have no problems running the half-marathon. I think I'm gonna go for a couple of long runs this week (12-15 miles), and see how I feel.

now i can't believe i said that....i'd rather run a triathalon

i can't believe i said that...i would rather make gay with borat's camera man

go buckeyes....

I can't believe teachers taught you to sing that song, Sheebs! That's crazy. Kids should be singing stuff like that old song, "I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony....." Stuff like that.

And I can't believe Streetgang has become a Clinton apologist. He really has come full circle. Pretty soon he'll be rooting for Ohio State.

TAD, believe it or not...that MASH song was one that we used to sing in school assemblies when I was in 6th grade living in New Zealand! I never thought much about the lyrics until I was older...AWFUL! Can you believe teachers taught us that song and made us sing it?! I'd rather sing Floyd's "We Don't Need No Education!"

btw, could gas and groceries cost a little more these days, geez.

I honestly don't believe she meant it that way...she was just using the assassination to reference how late these things can go into the summer.

I can't believe Hillary's quote today, where she said she's staying in the race just in case something like Bobby Kennedy's assassination occurs.

What a horrible thing to say. I almost get the feeling that she's *hoping* something like that will happen. I understand she's amitious and wants to become President, but does she really want to get it like that?

I'm sure we're all familiar with the theme from the MASH tv show. I just found out recently that the song has lyrics, though. The original version of the song (with lyrics and vocals) was in the MASH movie that pre-dated the tv show. The song is called "Suicide is Painless." Here's a youtube link to the original song. The vocals remind me a little bit of the Alan Parsons Project, but folkier with a little Beach Boys influence in the falsetto harmony. It's a nice song.

It's such a bizarre situation. First of all, using "religion" to practice their perverted lifestyle should be punishable by law. The amount of $$$ they get in gov't aid/foodstamps/medicaid, etc. is astounding. Whatshisface Wayne Jeffries their prophet was bilking our tax dollars by the millions. It's just a few evil men running the show and all the women and children (same thing, in this case) are brainwashed and raised to only know this lifestyle. It's so sad.

I'm not sure what to think of this. I don't like children being taken away from a whole community of parents like that, but on the other hand, the community was a moral cesspool.

Clearly something needed to be done, but the Texas authorities should only have acted on a case-by-case basis, and shouldn't have prejudged a whole group of people and assumed their guilt.
