I have to disagree with the above statement. The source of wisdom is unchanging. He was, He is and He will always be.


Gravatar I think the source and the needs are two different things. The source remains the same but the need changes (Or increases as he is getting at).

One cannot argue that indeed, for example, to be a Doctor today requires far, far more knowledge than was required - or even known - in that profession even one hundred years ago. Even then, two centuries after this was written.

By the way, Gracian was a Jesuit Monk when he wrote this.
