Wow...and I was getting excited because after six months I was getting near 50,000 hits.

Hey, it took me 8 years to get most of those hits.

Of kims 3 million hists, 2 million of them are since I think september of last year.

So 50k in six months is pretty darn impressive. Looks like your average a coule hundred a day with some big spikes every once in a whiel. I'd love to be doing that myself.

But you're prettier than I am. It's sexy when a hot southern woman talks about dildos and pron, its jsut kind of creepy when its a big white guy.

Most of my big spikes are from days when Kim links a post of mine. He does have the traffic, that's for sure!

So I should be focusing more on porn and dildos, huh? You know, traffic does go up on those days...and especially the days I post my little porn stories. Strangely enough, usually not many comments on those days, lol!

Somehow I'm not surprised.

Actually personally I like the personal stuff more. As a man who grew up with a family of women who had been abused and raped, and then had a wife who had been abused and raped, I admire your strength, and I understand the vulnerabilities. I can only commend you for talking about it so publicly.

I've been a volunteer crisis councillor for a long time. I try and help people who've been raped and abused, or are close to suicide, and my experience taking care of so many hurt people, while not having been abused myself... Ive been the rock fo a lot of people, and i'm sureyou know it's tough.

And it's like damaged women have rader for me and vice versa. I'm a big, protective, sweet loving guy, and I haven't had a single girlfriend who hasn't needed that from me.

Some people are just born to be caregivers I guess.

Very true, Chris. It's also much easier to take care of people when you've been hurt than to allow them to take care of you. There's less at stake. You don't have to be vulnerable and you don't have to rely on the other person for anything...just yourself.

My friend Mark (my blog partner and dear friend who died a few months back) told me , "I trust those who have wounds. They show up in life. You show up and that's why I love you." It made a lot of sense to me. Sounds like you're in that boat.

Hey, Kim started out with 3 uniques a week for a very long time. It took 3 years to get to one million visitors and most of that was in year 3. (He's now doing a million every quarter!!!) We can be proud of the fact that we were in the pool of Emperor Misha's first 200 site visitors. It was a smaller world back then. I think we were among FrankJs first 50 readers.

It's a snowball thing. Kim's stats never cease to amaze us--as well as the ever expanding group of truly great people the site attracts. The "celebrity" type treatment he receives is a source of continual amusement, especially to our cynical and prone to bursting into laughter children.
