Thanks for the update. I was starting to check (in an excessive-compulsive manner) his domain to try and figure what the hell is up. It concerned me that something Waco-ish may have happened, as I would've expected some sort of "warning" that things were going away.

I can understand practical reasons for shutting his site down, as we (all of us that live with hoplophilia) seem to be the modern day version of the "American Communists of the ~1950's: vilified and regarded as sociopathic misanthropists. It saddens me that such a thing has to be.

It also makes me somewhat angry. I just hope Kim and Connie don't have to "skirt around the issues" now, for whatever reason.

I was also franticly checking the domain. I'd be willing to keep the NoR going fully intact and unchanged on another site if needed.

I have been frantically checking here and a few other blogs to get the skinny. I hadn't heard any news reports from around here so I figured it wasn't a "Waco-ish" thing.

I was nonetheless very concerned for them and hoped it was "just business".

It looks like we are all going to have to consider nom de guers.

You can't stay employed if you don't stay anonymous online. Handle it like the hacking crowd ... no real names, but meetups in meatspace when needed.

I'll probably retire my kbarrett email address when it expires ... too bad, I've been on cotse long enough to get some good price breaks.

Thanks for the headsup. Was going to e-mail kim but finally decided to check your site out. Seems the site has become an albatross around his neck. Hopefully, something will be done to keep the NoR up. I'd be willing to buy another domain name to post it on there. The rest of us, I think, don't need to be paranoid about what's going on YET. Please keep us informed.

I'm happy Kim and Connie are okay, which is the biggest concern after the lack of warning or communication and the site shutdown.

I'm missing my NoR fix.

If it comes down to moving the site and forums, do you know if archives will be available for downloading? There are some pretty good threads and rants I'd like for reference.

At least I have the email regarding Jim's stuff, so I have a bunch of people's email addresses to keep in touch.

I'd like to see Kim and Connie bring everything back online, but seeing what Kim wrote about the new job and his time constraints, I certainly understand them stepping back from facilitating the sites and the drain on their pocketbook.

If it comes down to it, I'll pay a reasonable yearly dues to help finance the site and associated costs. I know it's not cheap to run something like that, and I REALLY appreciate all Kim and Connie have done.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Kommander called me earlier today wondering what was up, and I had no clue. We were both concerned for them so I am glad that they are ok. I know they will probobally be checking your blog Chris so I would just like to say.

I have had guns forever but had quit using them. Recently I learned about Kims website and started reading it more and more. There is so much priceless content there to use against the gun grabbers its a great resouce that I would be happy to help support. It got me and my shooting going again, stocking up on ammo and looking for a few more guns.
