Google Voice is fun to play with. I used my initial invite for a business number. I'm waiting on another one that will be used for all of our family numbers. |

Wow, that's a pretty great service. Almost makes me wish I had need of it. |

How does one go about getting an invite? |
|
That is hella cool! Id want it for the recording and blocking functions more than anything (hey, Im a one phone number kinda guy right now). Plus getting my voicemail thru gmail would be nice. Oh, and a blackberry app so I can do everything from my blackberry. Wow, now that would be cool... |

You have to go to the google voice link and ask for an invite. Then they'll send you your invite as they become available. |
|
Chris, I think you have a misspelled word in there. It's not QWest.... It's QWorst. I had MANY problems with them. I was very happy to leave them and go wireless. |

FWIW, for those who also want an invite, they're being pretty free about sending them out. I got mine less than 24 hours after posting that comment above and then filling in their form to request one. Initially I wondered if Chris or some other blog reader might have taken pity and sent me one, as used to be possible with gmail when that was still invite-only, but I can't find a "send an invite to your friends" link, so I'm guessing my name just came up on the list. |

I don't trust Google one bit. They're run by a bunch of leftists more radical than Obama. |
