Ideas not flowing through the fingers?

I have one. Go to the range, and in a tactical qualification, take a "peek-and-shoot" position behind a barricade, acquire the target, forgetting about grip on a somewhat unfamiliar pistol, then fire on the target.

The result?

Said pistol will give you a REAL excuse to not have ideas flowing though at least the thumb...(major "slide bite"). Prolly should have had it stitched up, but a half-hand immobility bandage and copious amounts of antibiotic ointment seems to have it on the way to wound closure.

BTW, I field-dressed it on the spot and finished the qualification, passing with 100%.
