I was able to grab files off a laptop disk that lost its mind by putting it in the DVD drive bay on another laptop. The data was still there, it just wouldn't boot.

Of course, it helped that I had two of the same sort of laptops .... :-/

That might not have been food poisoning.

A stomach flu has been going around ... no symptoms other than two days of upchucking.

Read crankylitprofs and atomicnerds blogs.

My wife also had it last week ... I got lucky and missed getting it.
