Glad to see you made it back, and that a bear (or a Girl Scout) didn't devour you and run off into the night.
It's a thing of joy when everybody stops trying to act so blasted "cool", and finally gets into the spirit, isn't it?
I'm very blessed in the fact that our local camp has wash-houses, with real toilets and even showers. I'd hate to think of spending time at camp with just a latrine. Bleah!
Humid, huh? Must I remind you of your trip down to these here parts? Just THINK about camping in weather like this! Now multiply your funk factor by about 17, and you've got what we smell like after only a weekend. Yeah, welcome to 100% humidity. It funks you right up.
Our camp rule about footwear is "closed-toe shoes only." Nothing about wearing socks 24/7, but we've got bugs the size of VW buses, and you REALLY don't want to step on one of those suckers. Hell, they probably carry box-cutters and would slice you like deli meat if you tried it.
Glad that you had fun, even if it was humid and the latrines are beyond nasty. Glad you made it back in one piece -- we were about to send the posse after you!

Sorry to say - glad it was you and not me. Sorry - but latrines, funky feet, etc. just not for me.
