Tell me something good

Gravatar We were at $3.83 last time I checked. As fast as it has been going up, I'm sure we'll be at $4.00.

I have a Beetle, and it's going to cost me $50 to fill up---who would've thunk it possible?

Gravatar Rev Dr Mom, my friend said it cost her $50 to fill up her Accord and that was a couple of weeks ago. It's crazy that even a small car is now an expense to drive.

We realized the other night that gas was still under $1.50 when we moved into our house in March of 2002. That's a hell of a jump in 6 years.

Gravatar It's $4.24 here in Chicago, ccw.

Gravatar I'm dreading that. I'm paying $70 to fill up the minivan now, and we're at about $3.70. All the stations near me have had to fabricate their own "3's" for their signs as well; I guess they're not used to using so many!

My heating oil company was here to fill up my tank today too. Which, considering for the most part it's been ridiculously warm here since my last fill-up in Feb, smacks of opportunism.

Anyway: $4.40 per gallon of heating oil. Thank god I only needed 100 gallons. I'm going to call around tomorrow though just to be sure I'm not being gouged. How crazy that I even think like that.

Gravatar dagwood, ouch on the heating oil. I refuse to fill the tank up past February. We have just enough left to turn the heat on once or twice more. I hate running the tank so low but the cost plus a 150 gallon minimum keep me from keeping it full.

Gravatar $77.00 to fill up today. Really crapped me out.

Gravatar How much is it at The Costco? (If they sell it at yours...)

Gravatar Kate, The Costco is usually about 10 cents cheaper. Sometimes it will be closer to 20 cents.

I fill up at half a tank to avoid being blown away by paying well over $100 for a tank of gas.
