I see some hands over here...

With the DoD specifically in mind, there's some value in being Goliath. There is some value in cute underdog stories, but I prefer to be on the team that usually wins.

Gravatar Between the Hamptons secession movement and the California recall election, I call fraught on elements of both coasts. Or at least certainly "Over-Rated".

Come to think of it, what places to live in the country are underrated?

Gravatar Opposing Hayden, I prefer to be on the side that needs to resort to guerilla warfare. It's just more fun that way. Not that I am taking that side in any particular current conflict, I just have more enjoyment out of planning strategy for that situation.

As for Brian, Canada is much better than conservatives make it out to be, while Mexico is better than anti-globalization lefty loonies make it out to be. As for in this country, I think that urban (as opposed to suburban) locales often have some good places to live.

Gravatar Denmark seems under-rated, based on the one-two punch I got of a Rick Steves Europe trip to Copenhagen and a National Geographic piece by Garrison Keillor.
