i think this idea is interesting, but it should be taken to its logical conclusion. If you can't Vote if you fail the test, you also shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun, purchase alcohol, drive a car, attend church (ignorant religious nuts are the worst) or make a television commercial involving
a. a guy in a shirt with question marks over it or
b. girls going wild

Actually, I think failing the test would require you to make a commercial involving Riddleresque clothing and/or girls gone wild. Optimally both at once.

Social studies has always been a revoltingly bad area for a lot of students. The very thought that there are still high schoolers who could not pick out the United States on a map of the world, much less any other country, is horrifying.

Mark,
Should Sarah be alarmed by that last statement of yours, or is she already aware of it?

1. ARRRRRRRRRRRR!
2. The people who make the commercials with the Riddler or girls gone wild would probably pass this test. Though "Street Smarts" shows how terribly stupid the average American can be, I'd push for a slightly more difficult test.
