"...the Craw."
"No, not the Craw....the CRAW!!!"
Could anyone write such a villain on a TV show today and get away with it?

Didn't know his name, but I really miss the show. Sis and I used to watch it on Nick at Nite I think. We loved it, and I even pointed out in my fourth grade class that Chaos was a bad organization. I was a dork even back then.

What I love about the four lights thing is that it perfectly encapsulates the strength and weakness of humanity. The strength is obvious; he resists and says that there are four lights. But later he admits that he had, at that moment, been just on the verge of giving in and saying that there weren't four lights. Very cool.

I get where you're going with the Duke comparison, but I'm not sure it's particularly the right comparison. After all, Coach K had 2 more titles and 7 Final Four appearances before the time you're comparing. That built in infinite good will, whereas Lloyd hasn't necessarily built that I guess, despite 1997.
I might call Lloyd Carr the Tubby Smith of college football, a man who wins and wins and yet unless he's winning it all, he comes under some degree of fire.

Tyler, I think you're right, which makes me sad on a completely different level.

I too will miss Mr. Adams and hope that the rumors are true about the show being released on DVD in the near future. Until then, I'll just have to be content with the episodes I have on tape.

I just want to see Michigan win the rivalry games. If we can beat Notre Dame, MSU, and OSU, that's a good year. It's why 2003 was such a great year and why 2004 was not, despite both ending in a Rose bowl. Also, I enjoy it when I don't have to take crap from my sister, which is why this weekend's game is so important.
My real worries for this team revolve around the line. I don't see the push we need in some short-yardage situations with the O line. On the defensive end, Gabe Watson sat out the first quarter of the Notre Dame game for no apparent reason (maybe a "not on the same page" thing?) and we have yet to see Michigan shut down a mobile quarterback. Who has a mobile quarterback, you ask? Why, MSU and OSU, of course.
That said, I still expect a 9-3 year, maybe 8-4, dropping one to either MSU or OSU.
