According to Access Hollywood, the amount of time that must pass is negative one days, considering they had a press release on Wednesday with a headline that mentioned Mischa talking about her character's death.

Seriously though, I've decided that once the episode has aired, there's no such thing as spoilers about that episode anymore. We can't live our lives waiting for people to catch up with their DVRs or waiting for the DVDs to come out in a few months.

yeah, TV shows are fair game the next day. Movies should generally remain unspoiled, however.

It depends on the spoiler. I usually cover my ass by saying something like "OMG, did you see Lost last night?" before saying "OMG, I can't believe _______ got shot on Lost last night!".
