#3 and #4 have the most appeal, mostly because #3 shouldn't cost the league much money and to date, the "new/casual" TV hockey watcher has not appeared in mass quantities.

Suggestion #4 is why I'd choose tickets to a Badgers hockey game over a Blackhawks game with other conditions being equal. Spirit squads have their place, it's called the minor leagues.

Not to specifically knock the Blackhawks as I have yet to take in a game, but by virtue of geography, they're the closest NHL team.
