1. Bulls on Parade. I don't care if this is Britney Spears singing it. I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate Hole. Thanks a lot for screwing up Cobain, you dumb bitch.
2. Cryin'. I'll always have a soft spot for Batgirl, er, Alicia Silverstone.
3. Filter, although I found the Letters to Cleo song rather good as well. i'm sorry these two have to go against one another.
4. Bullet with Butterfly Wings. Smashing Pumpkins finest work. Now if only we can get the rest of Homerpalooza to advance...

1. Oncoming Traffic. Both of these songs make my ears bleed.
2. Cryin' represented Aerosmith's transition from hard rock to puss rock, but I still gotta go with it over that godawful piece of trash Run-Around. I mean, goddamn, what a horribly overplayed piece of non-rock harmonica belchin' crap.
3. Hey Man, Nice Shot. Any song about R. Budd Dwyer is gold.
4. Seether. Bullet with Butterfly Wings was horribly, HORRIBLY overplayed. It's also one of the whiniest songs ever, rivaling every goddamn song that comes out nowadays by those rap-metal whine 'bands.' Also, that Seether video with the cats was sweet.

1) Bulls on Parade
2)Run-Around. This was a tough one. Cryin is a great song.. and I know plenty of guys who thought it was a great video. But you have to hand it to blues traveler... One of them died, and it wasn't John Popper.
3)Abstain
4)Seether. I may be the only person voting to say this, but I can't stand Smashing Pumpkins

I'm for Rage. I never was much on Ms. Love. Besides, for reasons too bizarre, unfunny to those who weren't there, complex, and Richmond Heights High to mention, I have many, many fond memories attached to "Bulls On Parade." Please don't ask, because you shan't find it humorous in the least.
"Runaround." I've never been too big on post-Pump Aerosmith. And I've always had a soft spot for Blues Traveler, though I'd have fallen down and worshiped at the Commish's feet if this slot had been given to "But Anyway" instead of "Runaround."
"Here and Now." No question about it. I love this song, and thought I was the only one who remembered it (I never saw an episode of Melrose Place ). Also, this time I *will* fall down and worship at the Commish's feet for remembering (and mentioning) their cover of "I Want You To Want Me."
Dammit. I loved "Seether," but the Pumpkins are one of the vertices of my six-pointed star of favorite bands. I liked Corgan better with hair, (my mum started calling him "Uncle Fester" after he shaved it off), but Mellon Collie was a great album. I will never forget seeing the Pumpkins live outdoors a few years ago--they were playing "Thru The Eyes of Ruby," which is, IMHO, the best song on Mellon Collie, and it was this wonderfully large, self-important, bombastic noise, and all of a sudden the sky opened behind the stage and rain poured down, and it was really rather awesome. That is, until the mud fight began. Anyway, I always liked "Bullet," but I didn't internalize it as the theme for my own private angst, as many of the kids did. I liked it as a song to scream along to with the windows open. Because really, even though the riffs are killer, sometimes Billy gets that junior-high poetry vibe and you just have to laugh. But I am voting for Bullet, if you couldn't tell.

Yuck. This would be a good time for me to look for something on AM, like maybe the Carpenters, Perry Como, or just some static.
In spite of the success Marty Callner brought Aerosmith in the 90's with his video direction, I'm going with Blues Traveler based on the strength of two comedy bits: the first is the appearance of "Runaround" on "Beavis and Butthead," where Butthead predicted John Popper's weight loss surgery. ("I liked it better when he was a big fat blob bouncing around on stage.") The second was Adam Sandler as Steven Tyler on SNL advertising an Aerosmith greatest hits album, which included hits like "Crazy Cryin' Amazacrazy." Yeah, a lot of those singles sounded a lot alike...
Ahem. After ranting about Filter when they showed up last time, I'm voting for them now. I didn't care much for this tune until I saw Bill Sadler driving around listening to it in the opening frames from "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight," but this song is cool. Listen to your friend Billy Zane: he's a cool dude.
I have no real preference for either of these tunes, so I abstain. I could deal with either of them.

Hole, though that appears to be an unpopular choice. I just don't like Rage, though I do admire their politcal activism.
Aerosmith. A surprisingly hard choice! I like the Blues Traveler video better though.
Letters to Cleo. It is almost certainly true that were it not for Melrose Place, I would not be taking part in this tournament, so they get my vote. That I get to vote for it over a song I hate is a bonus.
Veruca Salt. Very rude of you to force me to vote for one Chicago band over another.

Rage. Nice to hear them on the radio again.
Oncoming traffic. Preferably something very big, moving very fast.
Letters to Cleo. Damn straight it was appointment TV.
Seether.

Run-Around
Hey Man, Nice Shot. Denis Leary once had a bit where he said that Lee Harvey Oswald got shot live, kids were afraid to change the channel for the next thirty years. Well, when R. Budd Dwyer did his thing for the camera, we didn't need to. Channel 11 aired the dang thing on their newscast. TWICE. In fact the weasels played it like it was Theisman getting his leg snapped. We're not afraid to change the channel, we know 11 will do it for sweeps.

Oncoming traffic, or rather the oldies station.
Blues Traveller. Aerosmith made better music when they were on drugs.
Oncoming traffic, or maybe the classic rock station.
"Bullet With Butterfly Wings" Yeah it was overplayed, but the 10,000th listening to BWBW was more rewarding than hearing "Seether" the first time.

1. "Bulls on Parade": Good effort by Hole, but Zack's four-letter words have more oomph than Courtney's.
2. "Run-Around": Overplayed, true, but "Cryin" was overplayed by the second verse. And now I've got to find my old mix tape with "But Anyway" on it.
3. "Hey Man, Nice Shot": Evil, evil Clippy. Filter wins by a hair, chiefly because I'm more likely to get a second chance to catch Letters to Cleo on the radio later.
4. "Bullet with Butterfly Wings": Ties go to the song with Simpsons bonus points.
