1. "Give it Away." Words are insufficient to express my hatred of "All Star." How 'bout (sung to this steaming pile's hook): "Hey now, you suck big ass, go the fuck home, kill selves."
2. "Outshined." Because Intergalactic was so disappointing.
3. "Not Enough Time." Yeah, you gotta time it carefully when practicing autoerotic asphyxiation...
4. "No Rain." I actually kinda like this song. But I hate "Praise You". "I've heard this song 30,000 times too many, I aught to kick Fatboy Slim's ass like I should."

Before I vote, I would like to apologize for my teammates' lack of tact at MLK this weekend. And now, for my daily lack of tact, my votes.
"Give It Away." Both have been overplayerd on local radio, but not only do I find "All-Star" overplayed, but I can see it being covered by Eva Cassidy, like "Fields of Gold", but unlike "Fields of Gold," I hear it in my mind, and it sounds better than the original. Be afraid.
"Outshined." I didn't like the Beastie Boys to begin with, but I hadn't heard "Intergalactica." That didn't help things much... Plus, Chris Cornell. No contest.
INXS, and someone please call the Karma Police on Radiohead.
"No Rain." Just better than "Praise You" in that way that a steak is preferrable to a hamburger, or something.

well, you gave 5 word descriptions, here's mine
1. Give it away - Red Hot Chili Peppers rule.
2. Intergalactic - good rhymes by the Beasties.
3. Karma Police. Good song off OK Computer.
4. Praise You - Kick-ass Spike Jones Video, holla!

Give It Away, as one of the last blasts of charting funkiness from the Peppers.
Intergalactic. If only for inspiring Kaiju Big Battle. Also, I will not stand for my homeland being insulted by Soundgarden.
Karma Police, for no good reason.
Praise You. Even if it wasn't up against one of the most supremely grating songs of the nineties, I could never vote against something that samples the Fat Albert theme.

1.) "All Star": It's all because of Shrek.
2.) "Intergalactic": May grunge rest in peace.
3.) "Karma Police": Easily my favorite Radiohead song.
4.) "Praise You": That bee girl was annoying.

"All Star": Yeah, I lose all my coolness points for admitting I like Smash Mouth. But, hey, I don't have any coolness points left to lose.
"Intergalactic": Listening to this song hurts. But it hurts less than "Outshined." Or being run over by an SUV.
Abstain. Never heard either song, and I'm at work so I can't play the samples.
"Praise You": Hold me close, tiny mall dancers.

I already sent Craig my votes by e-mail but I just remembered my favorite anecdote for any of these songs so far:
Smash Mouth performed "All-Star" live at the Home Run Derby in July 1999 (Fenway Park, the day before the ASG itself). I got to see in person this set of crowd reactions...
Lead singer: "SAVE FENWAY PARK!"
(surprisingly solid set of booing, perhaps from people who wanted a new stadium with comfier seats)
Lead singer: "NOMAR!"
(boos turn into cheers)
Lead singer: "DUNKIN DONUTS!"
(cheers thin out, now audible confusion)
