Regarding Max's comment, I didn't mean to imply that one guy built Dewine, simply that Wine had been ported successfully. Remember, Microsoft's claim is that they don't know how long it will take to port Virtual PC to the Intel-based Macs. Given that Virtual PC ran on Intel when they bought it from Connectix, it's not like this is rocket science.

As I noted in my prior post, I think Apple's best option is actually to strike a deal with VMWare. But the presence of Wine and other products of its ilk will certainly goad any vendor wishing to hurry up. Otherwise, the market need will be filled.
