Two technologies due, IMHO, in Leopard, would add to your viewpoint. One, resolution independence, enables screen elements to scale when resolution is increased, thus small text is not necessary. This applies to all screen elements if the resources are installed. Second, a bit-torrent style download feature. Apple can solve some of their download issues for movies by enabling an in-house swarm solution, giving participants credits for enabling this activity.
Just as present HDTV sets can enhance the resolution of standard broadcasts, Apple could sell variations of resolution in their content. Should a HD file be requested the "swarm" option has to be enabled.
A wireless distribution of HD Mpeg4 content is coming with new standards being finalized. Apple is likely to introduce their wireless solution ASAP. Should everthing be ready on the 12th I expect a new "device" will also be introduced.

Can you call it a television (TV) if it doesn't have a tuner?
I don't think so!
