I believe game consoles will become dead money as the price gap between a console and a more versatile computer (eg a Mac mini) erodes. I know this is a contrarian position, but the market will settle the question over the next coiple of years.

Very interesting! I look forward to hearing more data on the issue. Certainly to date, gaming consoles have been a big business, but markets do change.
