I anticipate Intel will turn around if AAPL does not switch to AMD. Though AAPL still has single-digit marketshare, the company generates lots of "buzz'. Companies like HP, Dell, AMD almost by definition, can NOT create buzz. There's nothing sexy about bland PC's or internal hardware, like chips. But, I think Intel will stand to reap some gains from a halo-type association with Apple.

Good point. But rumor has it that Apple is looking at AMD to keep Intel honest. And after being hosed year after year by suppliers that couldn't deliver when Apple needed them to, I can't blame them. So my bet is that you'll see AMD-based Apples next year in some shape or form.
