I was disappointed to see Mac sales up only 38% from the year ago quarter. I'd like to see clear acceleration. I love my iPod Nano, but it's the Mac that matters.

Mac sales actually only went up 28% y/y. But the portables part of it went up 65%. And both numbers are way higher than for the PC market.

Another positive is that the Mac Average Selling Price went from $1375 to $1501 q/q (or y/y) in a "commodity" market where ASPs keep trending down. But for Apple in this quarter, consumers are buying more MacBook Pros, Mac Pros, and higher-end iMacs.
