Most Cable companies definitely have a bandwidth problem.
Comcast (my local provider) has no room to add additional HD channels. I should say that until they lose the analog channels - there is not available bandwidth to add new HD channels.
That's a problem.

Agreed, fiber largely erases these limits. However, the sooner the cable companies quit segmenting phone/television/Internet, the better. All of these services are packet based on the carrier's core anyway, so they should only deliver Internet. Artificial walls within the spectrum are just ridiculous. Buying your phone and TV from a competitive market will be best for the consumer in the end. Of course the carriers won't like to hear that and this also brings up the whole Net Neutrality debate again.
