I'm not irritated by the disclosure. I just think, for the sake of efficiency, that you should have a keyboard shortcut which, when pressed, types the phrase "Full disclosure: the author owns Apple stock."

The disclosure is fantastic. Everyone in media should be required to do the same.

"Meanwhile, data like this from Harvard University showing that Macs now comprise 30% of its computers on average seems to lend credence to the idea that Apple is going to report blow-out Mac sales in its earnings call today."
Survey by about 800 respondents taken Feb 2007. The survey is kind of old. So it is not really relevant to current earnings. Survey does not even show Windows Vista.
Other computer manufacturers reported better sales, so Apple should follow. Interesting to see if iPod sales hold against Sansa, Zen, and Zune.
"So we're hoping to install Leopard as a dual-boot system on my old dual-800 MHz G4."
Interesting experiment. Apple says it runs too slow so is not supported. How come Apple community does not complain of Apple dropping support for slower machines? Apple has generally been good at supporting older models.

Easily achieved by the most excellent TextExpander.
