I agree, glitches are very interesting and exciting when you discover one. However, there's always a question of what role glitches will play as gaming technology improves and software updates become a part of console gaming. Personally, I'll miss the glitches - they provide a cool peek into the programming of a game.

It seems that there is no set portal at which gamers can collectively work on discovering glitches. Right now I'm working on a Glitch Wiki that anyone can edit (listed as my homepage) and hopefully that'll create some sort of glitch community. Kudos to your son, seems he discovered an interesting glitch I haven't heard about before.
