It's worth noting that the EMI albums will automatically come with the better quality bit-rate and no DRM, but AT THE OLD PRICE- ie, no premium. This is little-mentioned elsewhere, and is another subtle encouragement for people to buy full albums rather than singles- I think it's a very good idea.
None of this happens until May.

In my humble opinion, "Higher Quality" is marketing fluff. Is the quality higher? Yes. Can the average consumer tell? NO! But it does make for a good cover story as to why I should pay an additional $.30 per track because soon "DRM-free" will be the norm.
