More of this kind of scrutiny is needed in this period before earnings report next week. In short... it is not about how empty the Apple cart is ... but how full it will become!

And all this "convergence" stuff that was such a big buzz word 5-6 years ago is HAPPENING.

In the later part of the 1980's the Apple 'core' used to look to the letters IBM and translate to -
I Buy Mac
Shoot up to present day and what is on the news.... IBM outlook international positive + Lotus software for the Apple universe!!!!!! Lotus coming not only to Mac but the iPhone as well.
To be quite honest, it seems to me that there needs to be a more follow up by us all to support the Jobs vision - as challenged to John Sculley,
....is Apple on it's way to change the world with IBM on board..... it certainly seems so.
The 'average analysts' for Apple only seem to be amateurs of pure dribble when you compare them to such as Carl Howe and Aric Winton.
You gentlemen have experience with Apple which shows and shines. This is a refreshing blog to come to in times of heavy weather like there is at the moment. Keep up the great work. Also, how about an article to follow up on the international significance of the IBM/Apple relationship and the inherent immunity to what is going on with general micro/macro economics, both in the U.S. and abroad.
