Note: I went by the West Des Moines, Iowa Apple store last night (They show "out of stock" on iPhone).
The store's closed for a remodel until July 28. I'd guess that's why Apple shows no stock. You can't buy an iPhone if you can't get into the store 
Hey, was the Des Moines store the one CIBC checked and said demand for the iPhone was thin?
I'm not surprised. Without a Harley or John Deere logo on the back, a product has an uphill battle here.
