English Patis

It is the best breakfast in the world, have you ever tried fried bread with it, instead of toast?
just fry the toastbread in the baconfat, yummy yummy, well....once in a while

wow yummy di ko yata maubos yan mag isa .. dapat meron ka share like ang bf/husband natin

Gravatar grabe tong breakfast, pwede na to last you the whole day!

Gravatar Mrs T: Were you in boarding schools here? I, too, can't have this often. Too heavy for me.

Gravatar My kinda breakfast..! love it..! but can't stomach it too often.. getting old .. heheh!!
Was in plymouth for 6mths.. and glasgow for 3 yrs.. for school..

Gravatar hi Batjay, oo nga favs ito ng marami kasi karamihan ng ibang English food ay very bland. :p

Gravatar sa tutuo lang, yan lang ang nakakain kong pagkain na galing sa england. the english breakfast rocks. i like the combi mushrooms, kamatis ang meat. kung last meal ko siguro - baka ma isip ko itong kainin.

Gravatar hi bokbok, Marmite is a sandwich spread made from yeast. It has a very strong slightly salty flavour. Either you love it or hate it - usually nothing in between. I loathe it bigtime! But my husband loves it a lot.

Gravatar oh, c'est bon.
ms.celia, you've got me salivating.
BTW, i've heard of a 'marmite' (i don't know if i spelled it correctly), what is it?
thanks!

Gravatar Thess: top of the mornin' to yer miss(is)! Sarap ng English brekkie, my favs are the sausages and back bacon.

Jmom: They are delish! although I can't finish one, really. Usually I just have the one egg and a bacon or sausage plus toasts.

Gravatar Hi Sam, chipolatas are my favs, too. I thought the Canadian bacon is the same as the back bacon here? But then you're in the US so not sure if alien bacons are allowed there.
I know what makes the bfast here better - the rain! Hehehe! Let me send you some with matching gale force winds we're having today.

Gravatar My Aunt cooked us English breakfast when we visited London a few years back; heavy, but sooo good when you've only had continental breakfast for two weeks straight. Loved the bacon especially!

Gravatar Oh, my father in law might ask me to make him this since he's crazy about english breakfast (and english bacon)

ginutom bigla yata ako

Gravatar unfortunately it's not possible to get right here.
you can buy heinz bakes beans from specialist import shops. (but i dont really like baked beans anyhow)
you absolutely can NOT get the right sausages. (plain pork chipolatas being my favourite)
it's hard to get the right bacon, but you can if you re lucky get some imported from ireland in a few shops.
bread isn't the same either,
but i could make a veggie breakfast ok, i spose. but it would taste better in the UK!!!

Gravatar Purplegirl: Visit London again as a cure?

Sam: Ah, surely you can whip up something in your kitchen. Btw, does the baked beans there in America taste the same?

Ajay: I'm here in Surrey (south London area). How long did you live here?

Analyse: Real heavy 'day. How zit there in Dijon? Do you get snow?

Gravatar and so i've heard...heavy nga!

Gravatar kakagutom itong blog mo... did you know i was once based in the u.k.? sarap magluto ng mga pinay diyan..wish i could go there again..i was based nga pala in hull and portsmouth..where ka ba sa UK?

Gravatar I only have one word for you. You are making me:

H O M E S I C K !!!

Gravatar LOVE, LOVE, LOVE full English breakfast. it's actually the highlight of the vacation whenever we go to London. my whole family eat it everyday that we're there without any fail. last time, i even ate it twice: once at the hotel before taking the train to the airport; then again at the airport. just can't get enough of it.

now you make me want to actually live in the UK! lucky you!
