Gravatar Hi Lani, mukhang hindi pa ako nakaka-kain nyan. Sige nga paki post mo picture para makita natin ang porma.

Gravatar Mrx. C. Aquino, talagang pang-Edsa Revolution name niyo (he,he,he). I love your entry super detalyado talaga.

And the molo soup, super katakam talaga laluna ngayon sa weather dito sa Pinas at medyo maulan, bagay na bagay pampainit sa maulang paligid (parang tula ne po?)

I will post the pic of himbabao, pero not now pa kasi walang mabili sa market.

Gravatar thanks for your kind comments. i can relate to you husband's experience at Ninoy's funeral. and i can relate to that molo soup. ang sarap!

i wasn't really planning to create a public blog site until karen invited me to join the 1st lasang pinoy event. akala ko may libreng kainan eh. di bale, puede na tingin na lang sa pictures.

Gravatar Thess: Hindi talaga lumalabas yang doodleboard sa Firefox. IE lang sya, badtrip nga eh. Good to hear Charlie boy is doing well.

Stef: Talaga? He's like my son and husband - anything with sabaw is great for them.

Gravatar celia, nakalimutan ko sabihin this is my 9-year old's favorite pinoy soup. pag nakitang hinahanda ko 'yong molo, naku, naglalaway na! wonderful post!

Gravatar off topic:
tita C, ayaw lumabas ng tagboard dito sa screen ko eh..passing by to wish you and your family a wonderful weekend!

(btw, Charlie is coughing less today and eye is getting better..thanks for asking )

Gravatar Sassy: Aha! See, food bloggers do have 'synchronicity'.

Jmom: I know what you mean, I just got from other Lasang Pinoy participants and I'm already planning an expedition tomorrow to a Pinoy food festival to buy my supplies.

Sonia: I'll try to contact some people who might know early tomorrow. I'll email you if ever.

Gravatar Hi, Celia: Unrelated to your post but am quite in a bind. Would you know anyone locally who would cook pancit palabok and empanada to order for a party of ten at Bow Quarter? At short notice...for Sunday 21 August? Thanks.

Gravatar pahaba ng pahaba ang aking "to-cook" list! hehe! your molo looks delicious. Mahilig sa sabaw ang aking girls, so I know this would be a hit! I'll be sure to make a trip to the oriental market this weekens...wonton wrappers, lumpia wrappers, gata... This event sure is making my shopping list very long Nakakagutom ang lasang pinoy!

p.s. ako din, bilib sa memory mo

Gravatar hahaha I just had wonton noodle soup for dinner.

Gravatar Tita Thess: 'Musta na? How is cutie pie Charlie? I remember a lot because emotions were running high and we were in the midst of it. And probably those memories are something I never want to forget.

Sha: You're really a Pinay through and through. Will email you later ...

Bugsy & Joyce: They're really good on rainy days. Sige, luto na.

Dexie: Di puede sa Fedex, tutulo and sabaw!

Gravatar pancit molo is something i miss making...you gave me a wonderful idea to prepare for this rainy weekend =)

Gravatar Galing talaga. FEDEX mo pwede? or UPS, ok na rin..LOL.

Gravatar Hmmm, pancit molo's my all time favorite when it comes to soup. This post made me nostalgic ... and hungry!

Gravatar tita i will not miss this event talaga cannes ulit my way to sardginia 3 weeks doon... sure wala internet anchor lang daw kami.

i miss so many IMBB events but NOT THIS ONE

Gravatar Wonderful entry, tita C! I really admire you for your memory (considering lamang ka lang ng isang paligo sa age, he he...ako wala na yatang naalala halos)

can I order a bowl of molo soup, please? make it two, one for the better half. ^_^

Gravatar Elizabeth: Oooh, so that's why it's called that. Thanks for that important info. Another soup based dish comes from Iloilo, isn't it? The LaPaz batchoy. Yum!

Ajay & Stef: Come on gals, post your entries now! I'm sure you have a lot of memories of those times, too.

Keiko: Sure mah dear! Maybe if we get to see you in Bury when we visit.

Sha: Bilib din ako sa yo 'day. Kahit mobile ka nakaka internet pa rin! Where in the Med are you now?

Gravatar Karen, Ting, & Ca t: It was truly emotional for me when I was reading the narratives in the EDSA revolution links. I was reliving how it was then and could remember all the anxiety, the nervousness, the excitement, and euphoria.

Tita Stel: Heehee! Oo nga buking ang advancing age ko!

Joey: They were sooo nice to have esp on a chilly evening.

Gravatar hahha i remember all these din sa manila kami
kasi mga tiyo ko sali sa rally!

yellow confetti plus this pancit molo galing Ate C!!! at least may sense of humour ka pa dito

Hoy di ito mahaba dag dag pa!

Gravatar Celia, your story made me emotional and you are torturing me with the wontons. I LOVE wontons, could you make this for me one day...

Gravatar naku pareho tayo hanggang radio veritas na lang. at ang sarap ng pansit molo! yum yum. wonderful post, celia. thanks for sharing your memories.

Gravatar Hahaha. Okay tong post mo, Celia...me touch of history, humor and hmmmm, sarap sarap naman ng pancit molo mo. Galing! Judging from the entries, Lasang Pinoy is something we can be truly proud of (if only I can get my act together, hehe). Cheers!

Gravatar mali ata yun nalagyan ko ng comment ko.anyway, just to share some trivia about pansit molo.it originated in iloilo city, named after a barangay (Molo),thus pansit molo!in iloilo we call them molo balls not wonton.like what you did, we only add slivers of molo wrapper in the soup few minutes before cooking ends.now, you made me remember my lolo who makes the most wonderful pansit molo when i was young..nice site by the way,im a regular visitor here.thanks!

Gravatar I loved reading your story CeliaK! It was just the right combi of serious interspersed with cute anecdotes (So, are you Mrs. Aquino? )...so poignant...

Also, I love pancit molo. This soup will never fail to "hit the spot" no? BTW, I also like it with the empty molo wrappers floating around

Gravatar woohoo! galing galing celiaK! heartfelt and vivid memories (buking ang edad natin heehee)...
just perfect for our first LP event.
(tama na sobra na...ang gutom ko.)

Gravatar galing naman.

congrats guys for the project.

Gravatar Grabe! You guys must have a photographic memory for remembering all these. Well, most of the action happened in Manila that's why and we from Baguio were just spectators. I gathered all mine from the boob tube and newspapers.

We should call that recipe as pancit molo all the way, para it is truly Filipino, o diba? Ang bango!

Gravatar My gosh! Another one! Even I got goosebumps reading your entry. And it's not masyadong mahaba, tama lang to launch Lasang Pinoy!

Your soup looks absolutely marvelous, by the way. I can almost smell the fried garlic. Thanks CeliaK!
