English Patis

Gravatar Hi Lani, of course you can use graham crackers. Sige bake away!

Gravatar Hello Ms. C, wow talaga nakakatulo ng laway. Tita, what can I substitute for gingernut biscuits? Meron po ba nito dito sa Pinas (sencia na syonga po ako ng kaunti

I can make banoffee pie without cream cheese. It's a no-bake pie po which I learned from Heny Sison's cooking show every Sunday. Ang toffee pong ginagamit ay condensed milk. Bale pinakukuluan ang condensed milk na nasa lata pa (not yet open) for 2 hours. You can prepare this ahead of time kasi kailangan pang palamigin ang can before i-open. I forgot the cooking term po nito. Then i-mix ko po ito sa melted chocolates, bale po crushed graham crackers ang base ng pie na ito.

Pwede rin po kayang graham crackers ang gamitin ko?

Thx po.

Gravatar Hi Lou, well that oven better get installed quick!

Gravatar Oohh nooo Celia this pie is going to be the death of me! But I'm going to try out your recipe nevertheless--as soon as I get my new oven installed

Cheers!

Gravatar hi Arlene, hindi masisira kasi matagal ng sira!

Gravatar Ang sarap namang tingnan! Tulo laway ko....di kaya masira diet nyo dyan?

Gravatar Hello Mike, oo ba - your chef would be able to do a better version I bet.

Gravatar grabeh CK! it's so yummy! i love anything that has bananas! pwede ko ba pa-kopya sa chef namin ito . . . ? d nga kasi ako marunong mag bake noh! yum . . . yum . . . yum . . . my mouth's watering now!

Gravatar Mari: Kelan nga kaya? How are you my dear?

JayLo: It is indeed masarap.

Jmom: Do try it. You can bake the cheesecake base ahead of time, then just do the whipped cream and toffee sauce on the day itself.

Kai & Stef: The toffee sauce is indeed so nice considering I'm not a toffee fan. Just goes to show that homemade is way way better than the store bought ones.

Gravatar LOL, ako rin 'kala 'ko banoffee was some place in europe!!! looks so yummy, celia, sobrang tempting 'yung toffee sauce n'ya....

Gravatar wow, a new way to make cheesecake! thanks for the recipe!

Gravatar omg, I feel like I just gained 5 pounds looking at the photo! We are definitely going to have to give this a try, a big leap from our usual banana pudding. Thanks for the recipe!

Gravatar sarap

Gravatar i'm literally drooling over this one. ang sarap! kelan kaya namin matitikman ang mga luto mo ate celia?

Gravatar Santos: Well I was wondering about that myself. It's only when you pointed out banana+toffee did the light dawned on me.

Nic, Achilles, & Cindy: It's really nice - loved the toffee sauce. And although it's got lots of steps it's actually easy to make.

Stel: Hallo tita! 'Hope you'll have a great weekend, too.

Ajay & Dexie: Thanks for dropping by. I only ate one small slice the rest I pushed on to my husband and his friend who was just too happy to oblige.

Gravatar oh, how stupid am i that for the longest time i thought 'banoffee' was like, i don't know, some weird scottish town or welsh holiday and not a contraction of banana + toffee?

that, miss celia, is a thing of beauty. thanks for the recipe! perfect for the upcoming holidays.
