Gravatar Hi Mochi08 and Chesca thanks for visiting.

Gravatar hi! im from the philippines. got lots of tips from this page. thank you so much!

Gravatar I tried your leche flan... it was soooo good!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Gravatar 'Cile,
Mother ko is not a good cook. Noong maliit pa ako, I remember gumawa siya ng leche flan for the first time. Whole eggs ang inilagay niya, anong result? parang matigas na puto

Gravatar I really should try this one this week. My paboritong after meal before.

Gravatar Hi Keiko, for sure come spring time we'll visit you there. Maybe there are some foodie events there?

Gravatar happy new year, Celia! I hope we can get together more often this year, maybe you can come up to my place when it gets warmer This 'creme caramel' looks sooo good, as a custard fiend, I must try it - thanks for sharing!

Gravatar Xtine: Happy New Year to you two !!

Thess: Yes it is meant to be - make a leche flan. Hehehe!
Happy New Year to you and your hubby and Charlie pogi!

Duke: Believe me I had several disasters with this leche flan. So yes it's all a matter of trial and error to find the one taste for you. I actually did my aunt's version first but I now find it quite sweet so I had to adjust it to find the soft texture and right balance of sweetness I like.

Angel: Do try it, like what I told Duke above, you've got to try different combinations to get the flan of most agreeable with your taste bud. This one is a bit soft, if you want something firmer maybe reduce the evaporated milk or maybe add a few of the egg whites. Good luck!

mmy-lei: It's not that hard to do. You just need either an oven or steamer and some baking pans.

Gravatar i miss it so much...

my mom always make this for christmas and new year.

Happy New Year

Gravatar btw - do you make ukoy?=)

Gravatar dropped by ur blog by chance - I've been dying to make the perfect firm leche flan. I'll try your recipe and technique. tnx.

Gravatar Whenever I see Leche Flan I am reminded so much of my mom's cooking. Like your family, we usually have this for Fiestas, Christmas and New Year. I tried doing the leche flan on my own without my mom's supervision but it ended up not the same as hers. I guess it takes time and practice to master this. You have to have that certain "feel" which I obviously lack!

Happy New Year!

Gravatar Hello tita C! i think you and chef rambutan are both telling to make leche flan

MAY YOUR NEW YEAR BE WONDERFUL AND BLESSED!

love fr. Holland

Gravatar Tita C,

yum, yum! one of my favorite dessert..I don't want to let the New Year pass by without a flan..Happy New Year to you and to your family! Be safe okay!
