English Patis

Gravatar Iska: Masarap naman talaga yung tutong kahit yung sa mga ulam.

Duane: thanks for visiting.

Jmom: Yep homemade rice cripies is possible!

Gravatar see, now here's something else that I've never tried even when I was growing up in the Philippines. My girls will be really interested to know we can make our own rice crispies

Gravatar Sounds wonderful. I am going to try this recipe.

Gravatar another very interesting recipe for lasang pinoy... i've never tried this before and neither my mom kaya talagang bago sa akin. my folks like eating tutong the way it is i don't know why...

Gravatar Joey: Yes you can make them that way! I don't know how they make them commercially though.

Mike: People like you who work tirelessly for Lasang Pinoy deserves our wholehearted support.

Stef: Ah yes drying in the fridge! I forgot you can do that. Thanks for sharing that. And mabango nga siya... took me right back to my childhood.

Gravatar oh, celia, my mom will love you! she always lectures on why we should save our tutong. i'll be sure to prepare this for her when she comes over.

note on drying: another technique is to dry it in the fridge. this may take several days, pero i just leave it in an open container and voila, dry and brittle grains.

and here we go again with british/american terms: flapjacks here are pancakes.

ang bango sigurado nito!

Gravatar aha! i never thought ampaws could be made from leftover rice! that one looks really yummy! thanks for your never-ending support and for joining lasang pinoy 15!

Gravatar Hey! That looks good and I never knew that you could make ampao that way! Thanks for sharing your story...
