i like that kind of corn soup to but my fave kind is the freshly shredded white corn, with shrimp and/or chicharon, and sili leaves! the best yun pag umuulan! tapos may tuyo and sinamak or inihaw na porkchop and achara on the side!

Hee. I understand completely what you're saying about not filling up on the soup. Of course, when trying to eat less, then perhaps soup's the solution. 
Corn soup is one of our comfort foods. I'd like a bowl right now.
