keira knightley as lizzie??? ewwwwwwww!!! saw the film version... black & white... kate hepburn as liz & laurence olivier as the constipated darcy... THAT is 'pride & perjudice'. that knightley doesn't even deserve to crawl in hepburn's shadow let alone walk in it!!!
saw a rather intoxicating version of 'persuasion' with the incredible alan rickman & his nasal voice... ahhh... funny. if i were to judge guys from austen's books alone, i'd think they are all constipated.

I do agree...her heros do seem constipated. I do like Alan Rickman! He is good. I know, I don't think Keira would be able to pull off Lizzie and I know we are pissing off a lot of Keira friends by saying that. Actually, I did like her in BILB, but after that, she seems to annoy me more. I have not seen the black and white version yet, I want too. Right now I only have Colin to fall back on.
