You had my total support until you started the good hair bad hair debate. I agree that the negativity that follows Golden is "COMPLETELY" unwarranted as she is a very KIND individual. My disagreement is why did you have to talk about your hair being good because it is "Long and Relaxer FREE?" and speak on peoples Mama's that makes you NO bigger than the point you trued to debate in your response. I have worked professionally in the fashion and beauty industry and have collaborated or assisted many of these women we discuss. I am by FAR a MILLIONAIRE and alot of these women with disposable bank accounts are still QUITE LONELY so I say MO MONEY MO PROBLEMS.
What we have to do as sistas is first stand up for eachother so that we are no longer viewed as overly CONFIDENT, JEALOUS, ENVIOUS, IGNORANT, LOUD, VIDEO HOE'S or Baby MAMA's. first of all jetta blaque i can say what i just said about these jealous ass black females on this board.. you black females are always concerning yourselves with another black womans head of hair.. making snide and deragatory remarks about each other thats why other races of people are always talking about us being hateful and jealous of each other.. you always make it a point to discuss each others hair saying" eww her "hair" looks a hot mess!!!! among other things.. i dont see any of you black females talk about white girls and other races of females weaves just each others!!!!! you dog each other out every chance you get thats why the black race is at the bottom of to totem pole.. because we as a people dont know how to support each other.. and as far as there mothers go half of the time there no better than daughters.. they talk about other black females to them and half of the time dont teach there daughters to love themselves or there hair texture no matter texture it is.. they say things like i cant to put a relaxer in your hair or are burning there daughters hair out with a hot comb.. instead of doing something else to it like braiding it up and leaving it alone.. it will stay healthy and strong.. black woman are your own worse enemies sometimes.. you love dogging each other out ... i didnt say a damn thing about my hair being better either!!!! i said alot of black females assume my hair is fake because there hair is... i can say my is relaxer free because it is and its all mine !!!!!!! and extremely healthy too!!!! am i suppose to be ashamed of my hair hair being "real" and in its natural state? i dont think so .. so dont put words in my mouth... and as far as your fro goes its plenty of black woman you couldnt give enough money to that would wear there hair in a fro and you know it!!!!! i think afros are gorgeous when you take care of it but alot of females will look at you like your crazy and some black females are looking at you saying to themselves why dont she get a perm... black females in the 70's had more self love then these black females of today in our generation... black was and is still is beautiful.. tell that to "these" other black woman on this board who make it a point to dog someones elses "hair" out!!!!!! real or fake or relaxer free or not relaxer free!!!!!!!

I try my hardest to not concern myself with what someone else would consider beautiful if I did I would be a HAM myself. My point to your comment is that the women you were referring to are ignorant it's inbred. By you in your last comment responding to us as "You black women" and not as "WE" will always be the struggle that will keep all other races in the position of making us seem inferior. I was not disagreeing with your statement I just wanted to propose that "WORDS ARE POWERFUL" and we must be aware of our statements that we deem are true. You spoke of how women in the 70's had more "selflove than THESE women today in our generation". That statement rings true in every sense of the word the question is "When did we forget our POWER?". I am proud of my fro but a sista wearing a perm is just as proud of her look as ME!. I am glad you are "RELAXER FREE" it is very empowering to not give in to the mainstream "IDEAL OF BEAUTY".
