Perhaps General Pace doesn't want to bear any responsibility for kick-starting World War 3.
Putin's recent comments show that the world is not going to take much more of Bush's actions. If the U.S. strikes Iran, World War 3 will ensue. Russia & China will give plenty of weapons to Iran, China will tell North Korea, "Do what you want," and China can sink our economy by refusing to by any more of our T-bills.
Bush is delusional. Most (if not every) business or operation he has run in his life has resulted in failure, bail-outs from his daddy's rich friends (Bin Ladens), etc.
Psychologically speaking, Bush cannot admit another failure. He would rather retreat to his fantasy land where he imagines himself being hailed as a hero in some future era. The actual reality of the here-and-now totally escapes him. He talks down to others as if THEY are the simpletons who don't understand.
Hopefully the CIA or some other US force will stop this man before he does something even more reckless.

Democrat leaders? Your punishment is to write "Democratic" on the blackboard 100 times before going home today.
Other than that, nice post.

The War against Iran is coming, no matter how many generals speak out. Iraq is the beginning. As the army attacks Iraq, the US gov't erodes rights at home by suspending habeas corpus, stealing private lands, banning books like "America Deceived" from Amazon, rigging elections, conducting warrantless wiretaps and starting 2 illegal wars based on lies. Soon, another US false-flag operation will occur (sinking of an Aircraft Carrier) and the US will invade Iran, (on behalf of Israel).
Final link (before Google Books bends to gov't demands and censors the title):

Man, I see this poster hawking his _America Deceived_ book on SO MANY blogs, it's annoying.
Go read some samples of that book. It looks absolutely stupid. Fiction? Um, no thanks. There are a lot better books out there about 9/11 and the current state of the world. I think this poster just wants to plug his book every chance he gets, which shows he's concerned with $$$, and not the issues at hand.
Speak out and defend yourself if my accusations about that damn book are wrong. But I'm sick of seeing it mentioned in blogs, even when it's not relavent.

Hi Stranger, yup, I was pleasantly amazed by the link. Thanks for all your support for Newshog, S. You're one of the good guys.
The End, I've seen that book plugged a lot too. I'm going to think about it a while and maybe call it spam

Pace will cave as soon as Bush Co. tell him to. He's been a lap dog since before the invasion of Iraq.
I liked the Cockburn piece too.
Good work as always Cernig.
