Great post. The situation with Iran is very complex, and currently quite fluid, but the thought of attacking Iran is the worst possible idea. We need more negotiation in the region, rather than saber-rattling. Rafsanjani is at least a potential reasonable person to negotiate with.

A very good post. I wonder why Iranians have not started to make same courts about American crimes against humanity or against Europians for providing chemicals to Iraqis during Iran-Iraq war. During this war satelite information which were provided by Americans to Iraqis caused tense of thousands of death and casualties to Iranian military who were attacking Basra.
Rafsanjani is very powerful and in his new role I think he can make differences. He is very clever and more moderate than other powerful figures in the government.
