Newshoggers Comments

I know I've said this before, but the initial news reports of the air-strike said that the Israeli planes were lit up by the Syrian air defences, ditched their drop-tanks and fled. This business about a successful hit on a secret nuclear facility came out more than a week later. If the Isrealis had really hit a secret nuclear facility, they would have trumpeted it immediately, they would not have put out a less than glorious cover story for a week. This whole story has the air of convenient fabrication out of whole cloth.

Gravatar I do believe that an airstrike was successful, and cwt demonstrates ignorance about the way Middle East disinfo mechanisms work. But for my money the following sentence is the most hilarious joke, wittingly or not, I've seen on blogs recently.

"Why on earth didn't the Bush administration and Israeli government go public with their nuclear material findings, and submit samples to the IAEA for verification, if that's really what they've got?"

Oh yeah, that Baradei guy would certainly give a fair hearing to the US & Israel as he diligently works to cover up Iran's development of a nuke!

I wouldn't be surprised if AQ Khan is sluicing money into a Baradei Swiss bank account which AQ gets from his Iranian nuke-boys.

The IAEA is becoming as much a joke as the UN Human Rights Commission headed by Zimbabwe.
There's a couple of bridges over the East River with a good view of the UN I'd like to sell to cernig.

Gravatar Sounds like you already bought them, Dave!

El Baradei working to cover up Iranian nukes because AQ Khan (i.e. who never sneezes 'cept on Mushie's orders) is paying him hush money?

You been snorting the Kool-Aid powder again?

Regards, C

Gravatar I guess I shouldn't get into a debate with a moron, but what is the point of such a "disinformation operation"? The Syrians know whether or not they had nukes and got hit. The Iranians probably do to. The only likely target for the disinformation would be the American public, and that would be illegal if it weren't being filtered through the UK media first.

Gravatar cwt

That moron would be yourself, cwt. "Disinformation would be illegal" in our Free Speech paradise where enemies of American national security like yourself can prate and prattle endlessly?

The Syrians & Iranians recently lost "dozens" of "experts" in a "chemical warhead accident." Wonder if cwt Sherlock can put two & two together?

The UK has tougher laws on disinfo than the US, but cwt is a true "cosmopolitan," so he's often wrong, but never in doubt.
