Thanks for the link - that's a great story of German volunteers helping US veterans in hospital in Germany.

The thing is...we shouldn't have to rely on volunteers for this kind of essential care.

CNN had Max Clealand on when this story broke.

He prety much chewed the administration a new rear end and quoted the Powell doctrine to Bush.

"If you break these men and women in an ill conceived war of choice by sending them into the meatgrinder without a mission time and time again, then you own them and need to fix them". Or something to that effect.
