Excellent de-bunking, Libby. Thanks for the down to earth coverage. I have also made the unity pledge, but it seems that it's fallen on deaf ears. Clinton's Campaigners make it so hard to keep.
Here's something a bit off subject, but I think you might be interested. I also put up a 'you tuber' at my place.
Fight the good fight.
Peace,

It would be a lot easier to keep my vow to focus on McCain instead of the Democrats' bickering if the Clinton campaign could please stop doing this sort of thing.
I didn't do it. They made me do it!! The power they have over me. It. is. just. incredible.

RD, thanks for the encouragement and great link.
Empty, I'm not sure I understand your point. Are you condoning this line of attack and using a right wing rag's talking point to attack a fellow Democrat? If the piece had been about Democrats generally, would you accept it as true and promote it?
Frankly, I thought my response was pretty well tempered considering how much it pisses me off to see these tactics used.

Pretty well tempered with respect to what Libby? You have been talking about the horrors that a John McCain presidency will bring. Regardless of Hillary's attacks Obama looks like he has the nomination sewed up (Chris Bowers has the arguments if you need convincing). However, he will need Hillary's supporters' votes to win in November - votes that will not necessarily come his way according to Gallup. Right now is not the time for Hillary bashing, however self righteous you feel about it. If, that is, you feel John McCain's presidency would be a disaster. If not, fire away and have fun. After all its your blog.
As for right wing talking points both have provided enough right wing talking points about the other that if you wanted to you could spend all hours of the day feeling self righteous regardless of which candidate you support. They are both politicians and both are "in it to win it."

One result of all this bashing is that, as much time as I spend reading on the net, I can't quite remember what either Dem has said they plan to do to address the nation's problems.
Ummm... At some point, they have said what they plan to do, haven't they?
Perhaps someone should ask them again, just to refresh our memory...

Empty, either Dem will need independents and every time Hillary attacks on a personal level it diminishes the Dem party chances of winning. She's succeeding in pushing up McCain's numbers in that demo. I'm sorry she crossed the line big time and is taking advantage of those of us who are trying to lay off the intraparty bickering to inflame it, using the worst of the rightwing rags to provide her talking points. And I'm assuming you're supporting her, so if it's true that Obama is the presumptive nominee then why aren't you advocating for her to drop out graciously and allow the party to unite against McCain? I'm not so much supporting Obama as I'm NOT supporting using the same Rovian tactics that have poisoned our discourse.
Kat, funny I've noticed that too. You would think that they both would be talking about how they're better on the issues than Clueless Cranky McCain.
