Totally agree. The Anbar Awakening may have been good tactics but it was poor strategy. And the scary thing is that given that it worked so well in Iraq, they're trying to export it to Pakistan.

The wingtard chickenhawks (with their willing co-conspirators in the Chimpromised MSM) have declared so many turning points that we've been driving in ever-shrinking circles in Iraq from right after they hung the "Mission: Accomplished!" banner. From the polling information available, none but the Chimpletons buy into the bullsh*t anymore. The rest of us can not only see the lies for what they are, but we're increasingly concerned about what Chimpy's borrow and borrow some more spending policies are going to mean for us. A "choice" of dying in the elements, homeless, or dying from a "turrist" attack isn't much of a choice.

KRAUTHAMMER writes "As for federalism, the Kurds are running their own region"
That's not federalism, it's INDEPENDENCE. Just a few weeks ago, the head of the Kurdish military forces openly declared that he and his forces would NOT follow orders from Baghdad.
