The neocon narrative goes "But just like the nuke program, stopping it proves they had original sin and they could lapse again any moment now!"
Never mind that Iran has never admitted anything and their only source for claims Iran promised to reign in the militias is the Iraqi cabinet with a spotty record for honesty when it comes to playing their two sponsors, Iran and the US, off against each other.
